    What is this episode about?

    Hey there, welcome to the very first episode of Wellness & Travel, a podcast by Lydia! I'm Lydia Maertens, and I'm super excited to have you join me on this amazing adventure.

    In this episode, I want to tell you why I started this podcast and what's coming up in my big travel journey. I've always loved exploring new places, and I've also learned a lot about how being healthy in a complete way (not just your body, but your mind and everything) can make a big difference in how you feel. So, I thought, why not bring these things together and share them with you?

    I'm getting ready to go on a trip around the world, and I'll be taking you with me through this podcast. We'll go to different kinds of places, from peaceful mountains to calm beaches, where we can really think and grow.

    But wait, there's more! This podcast is also about talking all about wellness. That means I'll be sharing simple tips and ideas about how to take care of yourself in lots of different ways. We'll chat about how our bodies and minds are connected, and I'll share things I've learned in the last 10 years and from my own experience right now.

    If you're someone who loves to travel and wants to feel good while doing it, or if you're just curious about how to be healthier in an easy way, then this podcast is perfect for you. Let's start this awesome journey together and learn how to make our lives even better as we go along.

    • Embrace inward activities like meditation and reflective writing.

    • Professional Guidance: Taking the step to consult with a psychologist was a significant turning point in healing from trauma
    • Dietary Shift: Transitioning to a vegan diet was a substantial component of my path to healing. I got a lot of more pure and positive energy from it.
    • Physical Well-being: Regular exercise, particularly going to the gym, had a profound impact on my mental health and energy.
    • Calling my family and friends: Calling my loved ones and asking for a listening ear.
    • Open Communication: Engaging in conversations about my emotions and be open about how I feel.
    • Positive mindset and selflove: The cultivation of a positive mindset and self-love were important in getting out of depression.
