About this listen

"The race." She said. "India. Were you serious...?"

About racing a tuk-tuk 1,000 kilometers through India with a woman I'd just met?

No, I wasn't serious.

"There's a 50 percent chance we'll die. And the flight's in two days. But if you want to, okay...."

It was not a reasonable offer. But then she wasn't a reasonable woman. She was certainly unreasonably attractive. I tried not to let that sway me, which was like a hammock deciding a tornado wouldn't sway it.

And driving terrified me; I hadn't done it in a decade. But if I could drive in India, I could drive anywhere. If I drive a tuk-tuk, I could drive anything. And if I said yes, I'd get to spend 10 days with her. Would that be enough time to find out who she was, what she wanted, and then convince her to abandon that and want me instead?

There was only one way to find out....

Memories

Greatly enjoyed the story, probably because it brought back great memories of tuk-tuk travel in Goa

Compelling tale of adventure and the heart

I enjoyed Adam Fletcher’s two travel audiobooks, This had the same positives and much more. A very good audiobook indeed. I hope the next book will be narrates by the same narrator and soon!

A happy adventure.

Having taken part in two rickshaw runs I was keen to listen to this. It was different. Brought back fond memories of a wonderful experience but added romance. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Really boring non story

I thought this would be about India and incidents that happened on the journey. It was disappointingly mostly about the rather uninteresting participants. I found the narrator rather irritating too

Navel-gazing

More a navel-gazing memoir than the travel book I was looking for. No insights into India.
