About this listen
Levi Black is at a crossroads. After suffering a loss and breaking up a long-term relationship, he’s looking for a change. When he receives the news he’s inherited a house in York, he seizes the opportunity to begin a new chapter in his life.
However, when he gets there, he finds a house that has never kept its occupants for very long. Either through death or disinclination, no one stays there, and after a few days of living in the place, Levi can understand why. Strange noises can be heard at all hours of the day and night, and disturbing and scary things begin to happen to him. He never believed in ghosts before, but when events take a sinister turn, he knows he must look for help. He finds it in the unlikely form of the blue-haired leader of a ghost tour.
Blue Billings is edgy, beautiful, and lost. Utterly lost. He conceals so many secrets that some days it’s a miracle he remembers his own name. He knows that he should ignore Levi because he threatens the tenuous grip Blue has on survival. But there’s something about the kind-eyed man that draws Blue to him. Something that demands he stay and fight for him when he would normally run in the opposite direction.
As the two men investigate the shocking truth behind Levi’s house, they also discover a deep connection that defies the short length of time they’ve known each other. But when events escalate and his life is on the line, Levi has to wonder if it was wise to trust the mysterious and amazing Blue Billings.

Perfect pairings
Blue and Levi just "get" each other and that makes their deepening relationship a joy to see. There is just enough spooky stuff mixed with the steamy romance and humor to make you root for them to survive everything they have to to reach their HEA. In just the same way, Lily Morton and Joel Leslie "get" each other. That Joel can do all the voices required should go without saying by now (he is stunning here with all the accents) but he also gets Lily Morton's humor and knows just where to bring it out without interrupting the flow of the serious story or going over the top. This is a 5+ star performance all the way around.

very fun story, over the top narration
this is a very enjoyable and genuinely creepy ghost story/romance, with decent characterisation and enough atmosphere to carry it past a couple of odd inconsistencies (characters understanding what's going on but then not getting the supernatural stuff all of a sudden etc).
the narration drives me crazy though: the different voices are so overwrought and breathless and exaggerated it gets really grating, especially as the drama builds and it's just hammy as heck. that's my preference though, if you liked books acted out a lot then it might be fine for you.

Amazing story and brilliant narration
This is a different type of book for Lily Morton but at its heart, it's the same as her other books. It's well-written, the relationship between Levi and Blue is well-paced and believable, there's humor, and the story is excellent. There are a few spooky places but overall, it's a great, different read for any occasion. I cannot wait for more of Blue and Levi. They're so good together.
Joel Leslie is amazing like always. I don't know how, but he manages to narrate all these books and does them so well. He could read anything to me and I would fall instantly in love.

Great book
I enjoyed this. The ghost story/psychic genre isn’t my normal listen, but I buy loads with m/m relationship and Joel Leslie narration. Nice amount of atmosphere and ghost story tense moments, but also good relationship building and intimacy. The book ending lends itself to a series as there’s more relationship development possible, and the direction their work lives are going. Good balanced book all round!

Compelling characters, average story
The first half was really good. I liked how the author took her time to set up the characters and make them likeable. Their meeting and early interactions are sweet. The ghost mystery is set up nicely too, so I found myself hooked.
However, as the romance progressed the story took the backseat. Revelation was a bit too obvious even before the men went about solving it. The way they did it was also anticlimactic, The constant banter between the two got stale with time, They went out of their way to sound sassy and smart in every situation, even the most dramatic one, which broke the immersion for me.
And the smut scenes just take the cake. The romance books written by gay men that I've read come nowhere near this level of unnecessary detail. It's simply gross and make me think that this female author has a fetish,

Surprising, captivating, and just really good
The author/narrator combination was the first thing I noticed about this book. From all accounts, they work really well, together. Reading the blurb, I was instantly intrigued. I don’t have a long history of reading books with a paranormal twist. I’ve just dipped my toes in with a few books prior to this one. Boy, am I glad I gave it a go, because I couldn’t put it down. This story kept me me on my toes throughout the entire book. It was well written, with dynamic characters that were completely captivating—flaws, uniqueness, and all! I went from hesitant about being interested, to completely under Lily Morton’s spell. Her humor was sprinkled throughout the book, and was an utter delight. I loved Blue and Levi. They were mysteriously drawn to each other from the very moment they laid eyes on the other. I loved how they couldn’t even explain why; they just were. I enjoyed watching their relationship progress. I also loved how much they both wanted to take care of each other, beyond just physically. They sincerely cared about each other’s well being. It just made my heart happy. Joel Leslie did a phenomenal job bringing this story to life. His talents amaze me. He was absolutely perfect for these characters. I feel like they were written with him in mind, because it was absolutely perfect. He gave the words life in a way that made this audiobook one that I think everyone needs to listen to. It’s just that good.
