Summary
Joe Bagshaw doesn’t believe in love or marriage anymore, which is rather a hindrance for a wedding planner.
His own marriage was a whirlwind affair that ended before the ink could dry on the wedding certificate. Nevertheless, even with his divorce pending, he’s getting by. Or at least he was until he finds himself snowed in at a remote Scottish hotel with the wedding party from hell, a terrible ABBA tribute band, and his soon-to-be ex-husband.
Lachlan has missed Joe from the second his husband walked away. He wants Joe back and is prepared to do anything to get him. Being snowed in together seems to offer the chance Lachlan needs, but does he have what it takes to get Joe to trust in love and their marriage again?
From best-selling author Lily Morton comes a romantic comedy about love, matrimony, and the best of second chances.
This is the first book in the Confetti Hitched series.

All the feels!
This book was exactly what I needed just now! Romantic, funny, low angst and a happy ending. Lachlan wasn't always entirely believable to me, but that may just be because he is so different from myself. I still found him interesting, and I was very glad he got his man. Thanks to Lily Morton and Joel Leslie for a hot cup of chocolate of a book!

fantastic
Oh my god, this was just fantastic. I can't believe how much fun this was. I'm more amazed I loved it because I HATE second chance romance. It's honestly really not my thing, and I avoid it like the plague. Admittedly I hadn't actually read the blurb when I downloaded it, the magical combo of Lily Morton narrated by Joel Leslie was enough for me to go for it, but I did spend the first half hour confused as to when the ex was going to bugger off and the new MC was going to turn up, before finally checking the blurb and realising I'd messed up. I say all this not to slate the book, but to compliment it-- it is unquestionably second-chance, and I loved every minute of it. It's so cute, so funny, so Lily Morton. The author is absolutely on the top of their game and this is a fantastic book, I listened to the audio in extremely short order and kept telling everyone how much I loved it. It's a wonderful book and I actually teared up at the end. Highly recommended, even if, like me, it's not your usual sort of thing.

Confetti Hearts
Whilst second chance trope stories are not my favourite, as this was a Lily Morton book I decided to give it a go. As always she made the characters feel so real and of course full of snark and dry humour we are so used to.
It was a nice warm fuzzy story full of good characters but it didn’t grab me like some of her others did, maybe it was because of the second chance romance, maybe not, I’m not sure. That’s not to say it’s not worth a listen, it definitely is. Just not my first choice in her library’s long list.

Very sweet and romantic
I really love second chance romance. And this book was a unique second chance because the main characters were trying to save their marriage. I also liked the setting very much. Forced proximity is always fun. I loved both main characters, they were wonderful together and had amazing chemistry. I had a fantastic time reading their story to happily ever after. And I laughed a lot. The narrator was brilliant! He really brought the story to life. Fantastic! Highly recommend.

Entirely Marvellous
I've loved Joe ever since he appeared in Vow Maker, so to have him have his happy ever after with Lochlan has made me incredibly happy. The story is moving and funny and believable, as is always the case with Lily Morton, and Joel Leslie has done his usual stellar work in bringing everyone to life. Long may the audiobook partnership of Lily and Joel continue.

Matrimonial Discord
I often start by saying how much I love Lily Morton stories. Well, I’ll do it again. I loved this book. Lily’s wit and snark are just wonderful in this book and I laughed, loved, and even teared up. See, I loved Joe. The guy whose job is to make everyone else’s dream come true. They guy who can create the perfect wedding, all the while seeing the couple might be destined for divorce. The guy who doesn’t feel like he’s going to get his own HEA.
Until he meets Lachlan. Someone who gets Joe’s sense of humor. Who is funny, and charming and…oh, what they hell, let’s get married! Marry in haste, repent in leisure? Is that the saying? Because things aren’t all hearts and roses for the two once they’re married. To the point to where Joe leaves with his cat who actually liked Lachlan.
So things are looking pretty bleak until Lachlan arrives as a guest at a wedding Joe’s planned. Which is fine because Joe’s a professional. He also smells a rat because Lachlan wasn’t on the guest list but…whatever. Only things get derailed and suddenly Joe’s stuck. And there’s only one bed. (One of my favorite tropes.)
This is such a great book! I just loved it and, of course, I got my happy ending. The icing atop the wedding cake? That would be Joel Leslie’s narration. As always, he added just the right amount of snark. The right amount of self-deprecation. The right amount of feelz at just the right moments. A brilliant audio that I recommend everyone get.

Exactly what I expected and more
Took me a little while to get into this. Nonetheless I found myself unable to stop listening to it. It was sweet and sexy, hopeful and some parts endearing. Romance at its best! Loved it. Joel Leslie was amazing, as always.

I loved this story!
I loved this book when I read it with my eyes and at that time I said ”the only thing that will make me love this story more is if a certain person gets to perform the audiobook.” Of course, I was talking about the fantastic Joel Leslie. He’s one of my favorite audiobook performers and he does such a good job performing Lily Morton’s words. There isn’t anything else I can say that I didn’t say in my review of the e-book and that review is shown below.
Ever since I read Vow Maker, where the character of Joe Bagshaw first appeared, I couldn’t wait to read his story. Confetti Hearts is such a fun book but also a little sad in places. Joe is snarky and I love his witty repartee, both internal and external. He and Lachlan hooked up at a wedding and then kept running into each other at other weddings and hooking up. After a drunken night in Las Vegas, they get married and then the trouble begins.
I love second chance romance stories and this one is so good. Things went wrong for Joe when he witnessed something and didn’t give Lachlan a chance to explain. Lachlan didn’t know what a good thing he had with Joe until it was gone. Lachlan tries many ways to get Joe to listen to him and finally desperation has him worming his way to an invitation where Joe is the wedding planner. Bad weather comes calling and now this story also becomes a great forced proximity one. Confetti Hearts is another excellent book from the wonderful Lily Morton.
A copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request and my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author/narrator.

As always a win!
As always Morton absolutely delivers on the banter in a way only she can. I love just reading (or listening) to her characters interact because it's always fun, funny, and just a good time (although they do start to bleed together a little as they all have very similar senses of humor). I liked that this was very much an opposites attract tale and that there is chemistry from the very first meeting. It was a little tough (in a good way) how the beginning was set up knowing that there was going to come a point when it all fell apart (I had to stop myself from reading ahead to find out what happened). It did make the second-chance all the more sweet when it came.
