About this listen

The stupidest thing a con artist can ever do is fall for the man who has to catch him….

Nordin likes to think of himself as a modern-day Robin Hood, redistributing the wealth from those who don’t deserve it to those who do. It’s fun, it’s exciting, and it makes good use of his talents and gifts.

Unfortunately, not everyone sees it like that, including FBI agent Tavin Donley. Tavin and Nordin met ages ago and from day one, were unable to keep their hands off each other.

Now that Tavin is with the FBI, that’s a problem. He should arrest Nordin, like, yesterday, except he doesn’t. And worse, they can’t stay away from each other, risking both their careers.

When fire burns that hot, someone will get burned….

Nicked is the fourth book in The Foster Brothers series, a contemporary MM romance series about four men who chose to be brothers that can be listened to as stand alones. It has a hot and steamy instant attraction, two men who can’t keep their hands off each other, a battle for the top, and the sweetest surrender.

The best of all four brothers stories

Don’t get me wrong, the first 3 books were good, but this was outstanding, more twists and turns - will they / won’t they, more heart stopping moments

John Solo is excellent

I’d recommend listening to the books in sequence- they are stand alone but this one makes more sense knowing the back stories

Perfect ending to the series!

What a great ending to the series. I loved all the books but this one was my favorite. I love reading about romances that span over years. And the forbidden aspect made it even better. Nordin and Tavin had amazing chemistry and they were just perfect together no matter the obstacles. And the suspense storyline towards the end was really cool. I was curious about Nordin since book one and I really enjoyed his story. I loved this series and I had a blast listening all the audiobooks. The narrator was brilliant and really brought the characters to life .

Cons, Scams, and Love

Nicked Nordin is the fourth book in the Foster Brothers series and nice conclusion the series. All four brothers found their happy endings and it was sweet. Nordin and Tavin are a lovely couple, but they weren’t my favorite. Tavin being an FBI agent seemed a little forced and didn’t seem to fit the plot. The tension between a confidential informant and FBI agent handler was weak – they both knew it was forbidden but they seemed to breeze through that conflict. Other than that, it was a wonderful romance – especially with how they kept in touch long distance.

The audiobook was narrated by John Solo who does a wonderful job. John really gives such a great vocal performance that immediately engages the listener.

Sad to see them go!

Nordin's was my favorite of the 4 Foster Brothers books! Love the way Nora plays with timelines & little nuggets you can go back & look for - did we know about this back then? - it's amazing to me how well she develops her storylines, so complicated, yet come together seamlessly & smoothly & keep the reader invested & intrigued. A con man & an FBI agent - that's not how they started, & I won't say how they end up lol. Fantastic romance yet again, Miss Nora. Well done!!

John Solo gave a wonderful performance, bringing such emotion & attitude, sass & heart to these amazing characters. Consistency, emotion, timing, pacing, humor & heart, he brought it all & helped make this already good book even better.

Exceptional Story & Listen🎧 Compelling & Heartfelt

Nora Phoenix is a gifted author, a gift that shines in everything that she writes, her creative mind and writing skills are absolutely brilliant and never cease to amaze me. The “Foster Brothers” series is one of my favorite series, and the Foster brothers, Jaren, Hadley, Lagan and Nordin, are some of my favorite characters. I would like to say that she saved the best brother for last, but that would not be fair to the other brothers, since they are all just as amazing. These brothers are not related by blood, they are brothers by choice, they met while in foster care, formed a bond and became each other’s support system. Nordin is the oldest, and he took his big brother role seriously, always looking out for his younger brothers, even putting their needs in front of his own. He was the first to age of out of foster care and he meet Tevin Donley who also aged out of foster care. There was chemistry between them from the moment they met, and the two celebrated their 18th birthdays together and had a memorable time. Tavin left to start his life and follow his dreams, moving to the west coast, going to college, working two jobs, then becoming a cop before joining the FBI. Nordin stayed in Chicago, waiting for his brothers to age out of the system and started his own career and went on a mission to correct some wrongs he, his brothers and others suffered thru over the years. Tavin and Nordin’s kept in touch and their friendship and love affair lasted thru the years, seeing each other when they could, despite being in different places and on different sides of the law. I loved the complexity of these characters and all the layers of their story, the plotting is amazing and so is the way their lives and careers line up. It was great to catch up with the other Foster brothers too. I am sad this is the end of the series, but I am happy how it all played out for them. Nora Phoenix, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧 📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, John Solo continues to do an outstanding job bringing these characters to life and does so with a complete understanding of who they are and is believable in every role he plays. His character voices have been consistent throughout the series and the sound quality is fantastic. He sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all the character’s emotions and projects them into his performance, making you feel every single one. John Solo is a versatile voice artist and an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.
