About this listen
The job at Sunday Orchard was supposed to be temporary.
A chance to gain some work experience. To have some fun. To get away from my overprotective brothers. To maybe, possibly encounter some lumberjacks in their natural habitat before moving on to the dream career that awaited me in the city.
I had not expected to be welcomed into a family of gorgeous and weirdly efficient lumberjack-types myself. Or to find a purpose in the tiny Vermont town whose claim to fame seemed to be apple-based products and copious amounts of charm.
And I most definitely hadn’t expected to fall for Knox Sunday, my grumpy, burly, fifteen-years-older, reluctant roommate, with his infuriating lectures, his hot-as-fire body, his superior attitude, his snarky humor, and his stealthy cuddles.
Now I find myself making excuses to delay my big dreams....just for a little while.
But Knox has unfulfilled dreams of his own- a career he walked away from. A big city life in Boston he left behind, when he returned to his hometown to help his family. He claims he’s not looking for anything permanent, and I’ve never been one to put down roots.
My big life is waiting for me somewhere other than Little Pippin Hollow. So why does it feel like I’ve finally found the home of my heart?
And how can I get Knox Sunday to....pick me?

Funny, emotional and a great story
There are points with real laugh out loud bits, tear jerker bits and overall a story that flows so well - I was almost there in little Hollow with them.
Michael Dean is an amazing narrator- brings the whole story to life.
Already downloaded book 2, I feel like I know the Sunday family now, and want to keep up with what is happening.

Is there a rating past 5 because this book is a 10
10/10 for Pick Me. May Archer has done it again and it's magnificent. I'm pretty sure this is going to me repeat listen in the next few months. Knox and Gage's story is pure ❤️❤️❤️

Amazing story but performance confusing
While the story was everything, it was difficult to tell the difference between the characters thoughts and what they were actually saying to each other

Sweet as a ripe apple!
New book, new series, new adorable, quirky little town, but the same, beloved May Archer’s mix of sweetness, banter and fun!
This time we’re in Vermont, in an apple orchard run by the Sunday family, and when Gage Goodman is hired to completely re-do their systems he’s sort of adopted in this apple-loving, slightly dysfunctional family. And the brother he’s working the closest with? Knox Sunday is a gorgeous lumberjack, 15 years older than Gage and the stuff of all his fantasies. He’s also grumpy, snarky and sometimes downright rude to Gage. But that’s all appearances. When he lets his walls down Knox turns out to be a closet-protector and a stealth-cuddler, the perfect man, really for a nervous-rumbling, overthinking sweetheart like Gage.

Brilliant
Absolutely loved this. Great series and as usual, the narrator is excellent. Would recommend the series for anyone who likes small town romance.

Couldn't finish
Was loving the story, but when you get to the main resolving conflict between the couple, there's no character growth just f**k the issue away. Spoiled the end of what could be a good book but just made my blood boil.
