About this listen

Gotrek & Felix Book 7

Gotrek and Felix's adventures take an unexpected twist as they are recruited by the elven archmage Teclis to help him save the world by thwarting the machinations of Chaos on the mysterious isle of Albion.

Listen to it because....

A new player enters the series—none other than the infamous high elf mage Teclis! Of course, the bickering between him and Gotrek is a high point, but the exploration of the mysterious island of Albion and the return of some old foes doesn't hurt either.

The story:

Gotrek and Felix—unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between, and depends entirely upon whom you ask....

Separated from their friends during a vicious battle, Gotrek Gurnisson and Felix Jaeger are magically transported to the storm-wracked isle of Albion. Strange and dangerous creatures stalk the island and omens tell of a great evil that is rising—an evil that might destroy the entire world. With the aid of the natives of Albion and the mighty high elf mage Teclis, Gotrek and Felix must stop the secrets of the mysterious Old Ones from falling into the hands of servants of the Dark Gods.

Written by William King. Read by Jonathan Keeble. Running time is 10 hours and 24 minutes (approximately).

Excellent as always

Love these books. Jonathan Keeble does a fantastic job with narration. I just wish they’d be released quicker but appreciate how long it must take to record them.

Great as usual

Fantastic performance as usual, though I must admit, this wasn't my favourite book in the series so far. Still a good story though :)

Fantastic continuation

Another great story in the series with a more magical twist this time. Always good to see the banter between an elf and a dwarf.

Such greatness

The story helped me understand the creation of the world of Warhammer far better and in a more enjoyable way than any wiki article or video I could've seen or read. This is an amazing series and I can't wait for the next one!

A Brilliant End to William King’s Run of Gotrek Books

As both a Gotrek and Teclis fan, this last book in William King’s Gotrek books is a perfect meeting of two polar opposite characters.
I do not believe we could have hoped for a better end of WK’s cycle.
Gotrek is his usual surly elf hating self.
Teclis provides a perfect foil and target for Gotrek’s ire but still pulls off his elven superiority splendidly.
Mr Keeble is as ever perfect as both Gotrek and Felix, but he also does a wonderful job of being a haughty, and very old, elven sorcerer.
Been a while since I read the book but this audible version is a joy to listen to.
Can’t wait for Orcslayer so I’m away to jump into Kinslayer again!
Thank you for such brilliant and enduring characters Mr King and thanks again for the perfect deliver Mr Keeble.
