Love this series!

I really enjoy this series. It is great to hear a story set around the area I live. The main characters are very likeable and believable, which promotes connection. I felt, however, that this book could have been longer in order to close some gaps. Angus King's narration was perfect as always. I look forward to the next in the series.

feels unfinished

Really loved listening to this series of books, the characters are likeable and on the 4th book you feel invested in their stories. In comparison to the first 3 books this story felt rushed and feels left unfinished. Really enjoyable narration just felt like half the book was missing this time.

That can’t be the end

It wasn’t finished off properly.. loads of questions left hanging … way too short for me

Way too short

Love this series and the narration is spot on, however this book felt rushed. It didn’t really develop and the story sprinted to an unsatisfactory end. Still enjoyable, but not great.

I am really engaged with these characters

Good pace. Not a new theme, but empathetically told with a satisfying balance of action and thought provoking moments

Another good addition to the series.

I really enjoy the Lomond series but felt the ending was rushed and left too many questions.

Good Book

I have been enjoying this series very much and although this was a good book, it lacked something in comparison to the previous ones. Having said that, I still recommend this series.
Narration by Angus King is top notch as always.

Like a short story!

It was a great basis for a story, and felt like it was opening up by midway, but then zoomed to the ending. Compacted. Bit disappointing. Half the length of the second book.
