About this listen
Opposites attract in this low-angst gay romance filled with British snark and humor.
Life should be a breeze for a playboy like Charles Heppel. As the third son of an earl, he lives for the moment, partying and playing. Settling down isn't for him. Not when London is full of beautiful men who he hasn't one-and-done yet.
To escape his family's nagging, Charles applies for a temp job that matches his playful skill set. A role in a Cornish classroom could be his until the summer, if Charles meets two conditions: he must move in with the headmaster's best friend, and teach him to be happy.
Living with Hugo should be awkward. Charles is a free spirit, but Hugo's a man of faith, with morals. A man who almost took holy orders before disaster changed his direction. Only far from being a chore, Charles finds that making Hugo happy soon becomes his passion.
Together, they share physical and emotional first times. Ones that change Charles, touching his soul. He wants Hugo for longer than they have left, but learning to love with his heart, not just his body, will take a leap of faith from Charles—in himself as well as Hugo.
Contains mature themes.

Beautiful and Hopeful Romance.
This was the easiest 5 stars I think I've ever given a book. No spoilers ahead! This is one you just have to read/listen to for yourselves✨ I've just finished, and was blown away. Absolute bloody perfection. Heart warming and heart breaking all in one swoop. It drew me in from the first page and I listened to it all in one day! It's truly an emotional tale, with both drama and lovely humour. Charles is just adorable; he and Hugo together... be still my beating heart ❤💕💖 It's so well narrated, Cornell Collins did all of the characters proud. I have read books narrated by this gentleman previously, but this has to be his best performance to date. I can't wait for the remaining books in the series to be narrated.

I loved it!
I loved it! Charles and Hugo are very different from each other, but they manage to fit and get on well. They both learn something from one another, and, despite some incomprehensions, they eventually get to find the right way to make their relashionship work. I also loved the Cornish setting, which is always a plus in this kind of stories.

Lovely
Gorgeous. What a lovely romance and a brilliant performance on the audio too.
All the characters are so engaging but Charles Hepple stole my heart, with a small space left over for Tor (that kid damn near broke me).
On to Sol's story next.

Absolutely love this!
Ever since reading the ebook of this story,I was hoping it would eventually be available on audiobook too.
The wait has definitely been worth it! An already gorgeous story has been sublimely brought to life by Cornell Collins.
I want to say so much more about this, but, I won't as I don't want to spoil this absolute delight for anyone.

A happy ending for a dyslexic man
A touchong story for a gay man who when it comes reading a compass and reading instructions can lead him to dangerous places but by luck there is a happy ending.

the story I didn’t know I was missing
In the first review I read for this book, the reader stated herself as jealous of the author, for having Charles alive and living on her mind. At first, my reaction was thinking it a bit much. Now, I stand corrected.
Charles is one of the best written characters I’ve ever read. Never have I had tears threatening to spill as early as the second chapter. Better still, Hugo and the supporting characters are just as wonderful.
I’ve been reading M/M romance for a while and more often than not, I’m left wanting for a bit more. This book has it. The story, the love & spice, along with the context, the feeling, the humor, the depth, and even the hurt….all of it!
Wonderful narration by Cornell Collins. Soulfully British!

Slow and a bit predictable.
This book is missing a real plot and has one too many clichés.
As always, Cornell Collins is an amazing narrator <3
