Summary

Random House presents the audiobook edition of Open Your Eyes by Paula Daly, read by Julie Maisey.

Haven’t we all wanted to pretend everything is fine?

Jane doesn’t like confrontation. Given the choice, she’ll let her husband, Leon, fight their battles. She’d prefer to focus on what’s going well, the good things in life.

But when bestselling crime author Leon is brutally attacked in the driveway of their home, in front of their two young children, Jane has to face reality. With her husband in a coma, Jane must open her eyes to the problems in her life, and the secrets that have been kept from her, if she’s to find out who hurt her husband – and why.

Maybe it’s time to face up to it all. Who knows what you might find . . .

Different from her other books

Unnerved me at the start because not a gentle build up before the high drama However gripping and a brilliant plot. Highs and lows were constant until the very end. Very insightful into the impact of a brain injury.
I loved it.

Absolutely Fabulous

What a fantastic book! So well written with a storyline that kept me listening and maintained my interest. I suffered a traumatic brain injury in the past and so much of this book resonated with me and the challenges and frustrations that both Leon and Jane endured. The ending was great, unpredictable and satisfying. A brilliant thriller and a great author. I have already downloaded another of her books. Highly recommended.

Gripping

Gripping right from the start.
A refreshing change and totally unexpected. The main character was really relatable, a solid story from start to finish with excellent narration. Have already downloaded my next from this author.

Absolutely loved bed it, I am usually good at predicting the plot but, not with this one.

Loved the narrator who made the story real. Interesting story line that kept me guessing. I don’t often do reviews (I know I should) but, this one kept my interest from start to finish.

Audible Heaven

I have listened to all of Paula Daly’s books and thoroughly enjoyed each of them, but this time she has surpassed herself! A brilliant plot that kept me riveted from beginning to end.
Excellent narration by Julie Maisey - I have been know to buy a book based on the narrator - I will certainly look for others performed by her.
Congratulations to you both.
