Left me feeling sad.

A long gripping story. Twists and turns followed by calm and that appears to have been the pattern. Builds it up then mellows. Constantly drip feeding you to want the next chapter. The last few keeping you totally addicted. Very good ending but sad.

Gripping

I did guess the twist at the end, but other than that I was thoroughly absorbed in the story and curious to know how things would be resolved.

Thoroughly recommended.

Good read- but should come with a trigger warning!

i enjoyed this book, the story was interesting and full of twists a lot of which i didnt see coming. the narration was comfortable to listen to with no over the top readings and clear characters. however, i really feel it should come with a trigger warning. there are chapters from the perspective of the antagonist which are incredibly graphic and distirbing depicting horrible acts of violence and abuse. i had no clue to expect this and actually had to stop listening at times for it was too uncomfortable to listen to in one go.
i am thankful i am not someone who has a history and is triggerable to things like this but if i was the lack of warning on the book would have made this very distressing.

in terms of what those chapters added to the book- its an interesting tool for storytelling, but i dont know how necessary it was, especially for it to be so graphic and from the perspective of someone enjoying it.
its not all like it and the rest of whats in those chapters gives good history and an understanding of what happened in the past, but those chapters where its describing a horrible act do not hold back. i pushed myself through because i wanted to know the story as i was enjoying it- but those chapters made it difficult to stomach!

so maybe this can be your trigger warning! good book. quite destressing (i dont know if i can write what sort of trigger warning this needs with audible guidelines but if youre easily triggered or have a history please be careful!)

Loved it

I loved this book and listened in one go during a mammoth ironing session. I was annoyed with myself for guessing the ending/twist but that’s just me, no fault of the author.

Excellent

Definately recommend this book! Great story and narration.

4 chaps meet in Uni and commence their rape fantasies. It's not gruesome or overly violent, just well written. That's just a small part of the story.

The twists in the tale will keep you guessing.

The main theme throughout is who took the 6 month old girl 18 years ago.

But who is the 4th chap. The ending is brilliant.

Terribly sad

Vile story line but some relatable, well drawn characters to care about (obviously the others not so much!). Sadly, very early on I could see where it was heading, waiting for that made it worse.
