Summary
Lincoln Hudson has just been handed the easiest job in the world. Babysit the spoiled son of a conservative senator, keep him out of trouble, and receive a six-figure paycheck. A paycheck he desperately needs. Wyatt’s father claims he needs Linc’s firm hand and discipline. One look at him and Linc agrees. Wyatt needs discipline.
Being the closeted gay son of a family values senator has left Wyatt Edgeworth with a reckless streak and a love of partying that just cost him eight months of his life and might cost his father his re-election. So now, he has a babysitter. A very sexy babysitter.
When Wyatt drunkenly tells Linc he’d make an excellent Daddy, they reach an understanding. Wyatt gets a Daddy and Linc gets a paycheck, then they go their separate ways. For this to work, discretion is key, but with a reporter dogging Wyatt’s every move, that might prove impossible.
Staying together was never an option, but with each passing day, their feelings only grow. Will they risk it all for what’s supposed to be a harmless fling?
Intoxicating is the first book in the Elite Protection Services Series and contains age-gap, Daddy-kink, and BDSM elements complete with a HEA and no cliffhangers.
Warning: This book contains scenes which may trigger some people including self-harm, suicide attempt, past and present physical abuse, and implied past sexual violence.

Brill
This is a brilliant book to listen to but it has some heartbreaking scenes in it. As Linc and Wyatt meet when Linc is employed to guard Wyatt.
The narrator did a brill job

Good start to the series!
Overall ~ 4.25 Stars!

As daddy kink books go, this was a good one. There was a lot of chemistry between Wyatt and Linc and I liked that the two of them were very supportive of each other. My heart broke for Wyatt, the way his poor excuse for his father treated him was horrible and explained why he acted up so much before meeting Linc. And Linc, well, I felt bad that his PTSD was so bad sometimes. I really liked that Wyatt, being so young, actually went and googled what to do to help him when he had one of his episodes. Despite their age difference, I thought they were very well-suited for each other.
This was my first book by Onley James and the first in this series, and as such, it was pretty good, well-written, and engaging and hot and left me wanting more, which is always a good thing.
While I enjoyed most of the different voices the narrator used and the emotions he conveyed with his voice, I was disappointed by Linc's. It was too raspy, not exactly as sexy as I figured it would be. Still, the performance was good and I have no trouble recommending this audiobook.

Intoxicating (Elite Protection Services Book 1)by Onley James. This story will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions that leaves you feeling wonderful at the end. A good combination of world building and character development. I enjoyed this story. Looking forward to the next book.
The Narrator Liam DiCosimo did a fantastic job bringing these characters and story to life.

powerful, haunting, beautiful.
Wow, I mean wow! so much powerful emotions packed into this story. Overcoming abuse, conversation therapy, PTSD, torcher and so much more and finding a safe place to land and finding love makes up the foundations of this story. I really enjoyed Linc and Wyatt's story. They are both somewhat damaged souls and Onley has weaved a story that will grab your heart and not let go. There are some very confronting parts, saddening harsh truths and times where you think all is lost but that's the powerful beauty of this story, that it could be someone's real life and the fact that they can survive and thrive gives hope.
I really enjoyed this story and look forward to hearing more. Liam's performance was excellent, empassioned and powerful. I really enjoyed his narration, different character voices, dialects and niuences. I will definitely be looking out for more from Liam!

Checks lots of boxes
This book checks multiple boxes for me bodyguard falls for the person he is designated to protect, Daddy/boy, age gap, light BDSM and political/media difficulties that necessitate keeping a relationship secret. James brings them together in expert fashion. Wyatt is clearly lost but does not come off as an unlikeable brat as many of these types of characters can. Lincoln is strong but again, not a rigid alpha male. Both men have flaws that make them perfect for each other and as the reader I desperately wanted them to get their HEA. Liam DeCosimo is a new narrator/performer for me but he does an excellent job with all these characters. His voice is warm and flexible, he gets all the emotional beats just right and it was a pleasure to listen to him for long periods.

Great listen!
Linc takes on the job of “babysitting” Wyatt from Wyatt’s father and thinks that it’ll be easy money babysitting a bratty 22 year old. Although Wyatt comes across as bratty (and really he is a bit of a brat but for good reason as the book explains to us).
Linc is a Daddy...and this is what Wyatt needs. Someone to love and protect him. I love how protective Linc is of Wyatt. With Wyatt I love how even through everything that happened to him, and the way he was originally attempting to cope with what happened to him (and how his father was - I REALLY hate his father!!!). I feel so much for what Wyatt goes through and how he spirals really bad but he also fights and gets through things.
Liam DiCosmio’s narration is great - really brought the characters and the story to life. I need to listen to more audiobooks books by them because I loved it that much. A must listen!

Loved it!!!
I first read book 4 in this series and decided I wanted to read the rest, when I saw book 1 was on audible i was really happy. Linc's voice took me awhile to get use to, at first I thought it was too deep but the more I listened the more the voice fit his character. Wyatt, he broke my heart, everything he'd been through and everything his father was still doing made all my emotions come to the surface. I think the narrator did a fantastic portraying the emotions of each character. Im looking forward to reading books 2 & 3

Super sweet
Onley James did a great job with the story. Story was well balanced although kink and more serious issues are part of the story it does not overwhelm the romance part. Was extremely happy Wyatt & Linc got what they wanted and needed. Liam DiCosimo might be new to me but his narration is top class, do love it when the narrator makes the story even more enjoyable.
