About this listen
Cal and his brothers turned their backs on the family business over a hundred years ago. Hell is tired of waiting for them to return.
Cal
I’ve never wanted a relationship—especially not with a human. With my father demanding my return to Hell and a demon leaving dead bodies in my bookshop, now is not the time to lose my heart.
One look in Oscar’s broken eyes, and I know I’m in trouble. Oscar’s been hurt before, and everything in me screams to keep him safe. How can I do that when I know being with me will only put him in more danger?
More importantly, am I strong enough to walk away from him?
Oscar
After escaping my last relationship with broken bones and an anxiety disorder, I’m tired of living half a life. My world revolves around my classroom, flat, and best friend. When fate throws Cal in my path, he seems too good to be true. He looks like he’s been pulled from my fantasies, and my baggage doesn’t scare him. Ok, so there’s the tiny issue of him being a demon, but I’ve dealt with far scarier.
I’ve been broken once before, and I don’t think I’d survive it again. Can I let down my barriers enough to let Cal in?
Devil’s Mark is the first in The Reckless Damned series but can be enjoyed as a standalone. It contains mature content.

great start tobthe series
This is my first book by Lark Taylor, but it won't be my last. I really enjoyed this. I love fated mates and all things paranormal, so this ticked all the boxes.
I really like Oscar and Cal and love the world building with the brothers, and I can't wait for their books.

love the storyline
I really loved reading this series and enjoyed it so much and I hate to say I'm disappointed with the narration,I love Dan calley and this book would be perfect if he alone did the narration.
I know everybody is different and has differing likes and dislikes and unfortunately I struggled with the other narrator.
I don't think I'll buy the rest of the series and will stick to the ebooks.

Loved it
I love this book - and the rest of the series. My heart breaks for Oscar and what he’s been through and I love Cal’s protectiveness and gentleness when it comes to Oscar!
I love listening to books and generally wait for them to be made into audio books instead of reading them. However, I simply had to read the stories of Harlow, Mori and Dagon. I really hope they’ll be available in audio and I’ll definitely be listening to them if they do 🤞🏼
Definitely recommend the book!

Good
Good start to the series . Cal and his brothers Mori and Harlow escaped hell to live on earth but their father Lucifer is now threatening the brother that stayed behind to get Cal to return. On top of that Cal has found his mate Oscar and he is now in danger so Cal and his brothers will do whatever they can to save Dagon and keep Oscar safe .

I do love this series, have read it before, and I will keep coming back to these characters.
I did not like the narrator for Oscar. It was over the top and did not suit Oscars personality.

Cute story, poor performance
The performance ruined it for me, the dual voices of the same character was very confusing, None of the voices actually suited the characters (well maybe Cal) The Oscar narrators voice sounded like a parody of something and I barely finished the book because of that. The story and the characters are cute but definately cliché and there are several repetitions of expressions and mannerisms. the spicy scenes are sufficiently spicy which is a plus and the storyline is entertaining, despite a few plot holes. If you can get past the narrators it's a cute simple hea romance. Also: wings! Always a winner. 😁 Not sure I'll buy the next one despite being kind of curious of the next pairing the narration was that bad.

Good
It was fine and I'll read the next book when it comes out in audio but something was missing for me though. Also I'm not a big fan of dual narration-especially here, I would have liked only one narrator.
