The Tuning In Podcast

  • Summary

  • If you're on a wellness journey but find that the world can get a little too noisy sometimes, you've landed in the right place. I created this podcast, to support people like you to tune out the noise and tune back into themselves.

Hi, my name is Catarina a self-improvement enthusiast with a history of taking it a little too far. Over time, I've dialled it back and found simple and sustainable ways of engaging with self-care and wellness without it becoming another thing on the to-do list and I want to share that with you.

I'm also a certified personal trainer, wellness practitioner and Sports Science MSc, so expect episodes to be rooted in science with a splash of spirituality and loads of heart.

Each season is packed with solo episodes and expansive conversations with experts in the field of health science, fitness and wellness.

Now grab a warm drink and let's dive in.

  • Your thoughts are not facts: From self doubt to self belief with Sophie Carefull
    Sep 13 2024

Sophie Carefull is a Certified Self-belief Coach for bold introverts and big-hearted creatives.

Following a successful self-employed career as a personal branding photographer, Sophie trained as a professional coach with a specialism in working with self-doubt.

She helps her quietly ambitious clients to develop solid self-trust and build calm, fulfilling businesses on their own terms.

Sophie's coaching approach is rooted in the idea that self-acceptance and self-compassion are the keys to unlocking authentic confidence and making meaningful progress on what matters most to you.

Sophie lives in Bristol with her husband Sam and their adopted dog Otis. She’s an introvert with a love for second-hand fashion, colourful interiors and a good old nostalgic sitcom.

TW: This episode includes discussion of weight loss/gain, disordered eating, and exercise. Please leave this one if that does not sound supportive to you.

Not such a hot take, but there is an awful lot of pressure on brides to look a 'certain way' for their big day. I felt that pressure for sure, but since dropping out of #dietculture, I didn't want the pressure to undo all that good work I had done.

In this episode, I dive into my experience with my body in the build-up to my wedding and how I navigated body acceptance and compassionate change.
