• Men's mental health in the business world
    May 24 2023
Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen a positive increase in the number of men seeking help around mental health and their ability to speak openly about their mental health. Most recently, in the media, we’ve seen world-famous singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran open up about his struggles with depression. Prince Harry revealing more about his anxiety disorder and Chelsea footballer, Ben Chilwell sharing how he receives support for his mental health - and that’s just naming a few examples. BUT, we can’t deny that there’s still a long way to go to really break down that stigma, particularly in the corporate world. We’re joined in this episode by one of Teesside’s best - Karl Pemberton who is the Managing Director of Active Chartered Financial Planners - one of the leading independent chartered financial planning teams in the North. Karl is somebody that has also recently shared some of his own mental health challenges and we’re looking forward to carrying on the conversation and encouraging others to do the same!
