The audiobook of Wyrd Sisters is narrated by Indira Varma (Game of Thrones; Luther; This Way Up). BAFTA and Golden Globe award-winning actor Bill Nighy (Love Actually; Pirates of the Caribbean; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) reads the footnotes, and Peter Serafinowicz (Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace; Shaun of the Dead) stars as the voice of Death. Featuring a new theme tune composed by James Hannigan.
'Destiny is important, see, but people go wrong when they think it controls them. It's the other way around.'
Three witches gathered on a lonely heath. A king cruelly murdered, his throne usurped by his ambitious cousin. A child heir and the royal crown, both missing.
Witches don't have these kinds of leadership problems themselves - in fact, they don't have leaders.
Granny Weatherwax is the most highly regarded of the leaders they don't have. But even she finds that meddling in royal politics is a lot more complicated than certain playwrights would have you believe. Particularly when the blood on your hands just won't wash off...
With an afterword by Joanne Harris.
'Pratchett's Discworld books have made millions of people happy' Guardian
'I love Terry Pratchett' Caitlin Moran
Wyrd Sisters is the second book in the Witches series, but you can listen to the Discworld novels in any order.
The first book in the Discworld series - The Colour of Magic - was published in 1983. Some elements of the Discworld universe may reflect this.

Addictive and utterly brilliant
Wonderfully read, a brilliant use of differing accents for each characters. I'm new to the Terry Pratchett books and this is a Wonderful introduction to the disc world.
This book alone has forced me to already purchase three more and pre-order four more. The new updates are just so addictive and mesmerising.
I hope all books have the same high standard of oratory.

Fantastic
This new production of Wyrd Sisters is simply fantastic. I honestly couldn't have put together a better group of narrators.

Wonderful narration of a wonderful book
Love Pratchett, love this audio version. Top rate subtitles and cameo from Death and Indira Varma performs the rest brilliantly.

Superb as ever
I have yet to discover a book by Terry Pratchett that fails to keep me gripped, make me think and also (most importantly) causes me to laugh out loud. Well performed giving each character a unique and memorable voice. Thank you

Outstanding performances
Thank you Indira Varma for bringing all the Discworld ‘Witches’ books to life. Outstanding characterisation and narration. I do so hope you do all the Tiffany Aching books too. Peter Serafinowicz’s Death and the wonderful Nac Mac Feegles are a joy in Carpe Diem. Bill Nighy’s footnotes are gems. Brilliant production. Thank you all.

Loved it!
I’m a big Terry pratchett fan and love especially the later novels, but this new narration really helped me love the older ones more.

All the Disc's a stage...
A fabulous reading of a wonderful book. This book is where Granny Weatherwax comes into her own and really shines- I have such a soft spot for the Witches, and Indira Varma performs it tremendously well.

Excellent performance of a literary genius.
The new Varma performances of Pratchett’s Witches series are first class and do his works great credit. It’s wonderful finally to have a female voice bringing ALL the characters of Lancre to life. Indira Varma is extremely talented. And Terry Pratchett is… sorely missed. No superlative does him justice.

Great fun
Indira has made fabulous new recordings of the Witches books, but I knock one point off for her Granny Weatherwax. I don't know why she's chosen to perform her as the least charismatic of the 3 witches. It's the only respect in which Nigel Planer did it better.
Shame she decided to prounounce "Hwell" the playwright as "Hoo-El", thus removing the pun.
