Summary
Everyone knows that timing is everything. But we don't know much about timing itself. Our lives are a never-ending stream of 'when' decisions: when to start a business, schedule a class, get serious about a person. Yet we make those decisions based on intuition and guesswork. Timing, it's often assumed, is an art; in When, Pink shows that timing is, in fact, a science.
Drawing on a rich trove of research from psychology, biology and economics, Pink reveals how best to live, work and succeed. How can we use the hidden patterns of the day to build the ideal schedule? Why do certain breaks dramatically improve student test scores? How can we turn a stumbling beginning into a fresh start? Why should we avoid going to the hospital in the afternoon? Why is singing in time with other people as good for us as exercise? And what is the ideal time to quit a job, switch careers or get married? In When, Pink distils cutting-edge research and data on timing and synthesizes them into a fascinating narrative packed with irresistible stories and practical takeaways that give listeners compelling insights into how we can live richer, more engaged lives.

It was about time
This is like discovering another dimension, bringing it into focus so it’s Visible in plain sight.
Impressive for an audiobook that you can’t see.
Thanks Dan! Love your stuff.

Peak and trough
The book itself goes through cycles of peak amd trough. The peaks were very relatable and astounding; the troughs agonisingly boring.
overall a fine read.

this book will help you to manage your time
the content is good and helpful but quite boring, from my point of view it could be summarized in a half of its size

Packed
So much information that you’ll need time to digest each section. Research. Reflection. Suggested application. You’ll not look at time in the same way again.

A very interesting read indeed.
Very good, sometimes a little repetitive but overall, a worthwhile listen. Recommended as I learnt a lot from this.

First half great, second half filler
Really loved the first bit of this book and raved about it to my friends, but the latter half was really irrelevant to me. If it was a physical book I'd have been able to flip through these parts and may not have got so bored, but with the audiobook I wasted a lot more time giving each chapter a chance before skipping through. Worth a listen for the start though, very interesting and informative.

Interesting and potentially some useful insights
I enjoy Pink's writing style and he does a good job of the narration. There's plenty of good content here but, as is often the case with this type of book, much of it will already be familiar if you're a fan of Freakonomics, Nudge or Thinking fast and slow.

Well written and insightful!
Well written, with great insight into perfect timing. Plenty of little case studies make this book relevant and accessible.
