About this listen
Fate waits for no man. Not even Viktor Warden...
After living through a bloody encounter with the mysterious Cult of Fenrir 20 years ago, Viktor returns to New Orleans, hoping to forget the horrors he endured. He keeps busy dealing with unusual cases as head of a global security firm specializing in paranormal threats.
For once in his long life, everything seems to have fallen into balance.
But Fate has a funny way of catching up with a person. And this time it’s bringing his past - and possibly the end of the world - along for the ride.
When old enemies rise again, stronger than ever, Viktor is thrust into a long-forgotten world filled with darkness and supernatural threats. Worse yet, it turns out that the Cult of Fenrir is far from defeated - and they’re hell-bent on enacting their revenge on him.
Now Viktor must come face to face with the painful past he cannot seem to recall, or else. It’s the only hope he has of saving the world one last time.
A blend of Norse mythology, urban fantasy, and adventure, The Wanderer Awakens will take you on a dark adventure through the stars, into the depths, and beyond.

Sorry not my kind of book
The Wanderer Awakens is just too hard for me to follow as an audiobook, theres too much description, its very slow and if like me you listen to your audiobooks while making the dinner or hiding in a hobby room its not for you, you kind of drift off and end up skipping back a chapter or two to try to work out what's going on in the story. I have brought the kindle version, it's only about £4 at the moment in the UK and I'm going to read the book with hope of giving a better review of the story, but as an audiobook it really doesn't work for me and hasn't made me a fan of books, if your interested in buying this book, then I advise you to buy a bottle of wine, turn down the lights, sit in a comfy chair and put on your headphones, and be prepared for long journey

‘Don’t feel special, everyone waits a lifetime to die.’
Took me a while to shake off ‘Stone Born’ feelings (which I’ve just listened to) as they have similarities which left me a little confused at times, but given time it becomes clear... they’re set in the same world!
Once I got going, I loved this and have jumped straight into the next book.
Narration? Well, Ken seems to have a knack of picking perfect book-mates as Andrew pulls this off perfectly; great storytelling and pace, with fantastic character voices!! Love it!
This is my honest opinion of a free review copy.

Different
Was not what I expected but none the less a good listen. You do have to pay attention to follow the story as it is quite complex. Looking forward to more in this series.
The narration was spot on

Great story
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Viktor Engel Warden Is here to tell us the world is not all it seems! There are things that crawl past unseen and it’s his job to stop them but sometimes he finds it easier said than done.
Really enjoyed listening to this book and I will listen to others in the series.
