Summary

Viktor Warden isn’t going down without a fight.

Eternal happiness has never been high on Viktor’s list of desires. He’s lived a life up to his neck in danger, mythological threats, and family drama on a truly cosmic scale. But after bringing the world back from the brink of Armageddon -- more than once -- he’s ready to take a break.

However, it turns out that old stories, and old foes, have a way of finding their way back into the narrative...and they rest for no one. This time, his enemies are the fractured Loa who are weaponizing wraiths, deadly creatures conjured with tainted blood.

The fallout from the in-fighting poses a risk to Viktor and his family.

Tracing back the past that lead him to this point, Viktor will have to ally with those he never imagined he’d work with, and he’ll have to fell enemies on a scale unlike he’s encountered before, to purge the world of this growing wraith poison.

To the brink of death, across time and space, Children of the Storm sees Viktor Warden pushed to the very edge of his capabilities, giving his all to preserve what’s left of the world, and the family, he loves.

‘I’m face down on the floor and partially hanging out the open window. So you know, I’ve got this!’

If you’ve got to book 5 in the series, then you don’t need me to tell you how good it is!?
All I can say is great writing, great story, great narrating.... great, great, great!
The only downside is there isn’t another book waiting in the series... luckily, I have some in the Vigiles series to keep me going!
Can’t recommend these books enough!!
This is my honest opinion of a free review copy.
