About this listen
This is DC Smith's third investigation with the Diver and Diver Associates agency. They have been asked by a member of Norfolk's aristocracy to look into the tragic death of her younger brother, Freddie, the late Lord Thorpe of the title. The inquest verdict was of misadventure, but it isn't long before Smith begins to suspect there has been a serious miscarriage of justice.

Another master piece
I have waited for sometime for this latest Peter Granger D C Smith story and it was worth the wait.
As ever the narration was excellent.
I feel I know these characters so well now.

great story line
have read all the books on DC Smith, as a policeman and as an investigater, and have loved every one, the story lines are all different, but the narrator, the dry sense of humour,and all other characters are still the same, these are the most welcoming part of these books, please keep them coming

D C Smith never disappoints
This book brilliantly takes all the characters forward. The narrator is excellent as always and I have learnt a lot about the narration process through this storyline. Long may this series continue.

A great series
I’ve really enjoyed this series, this one in particular was so good, I wanted it to go on for longer. The narrator is extremely good at the different characters, in particular Mr Smith.

An absolute corker
I simply love everything about the series of Peter Grainger books. The narrator is simply perfect the characters the descriptions of the places and the twists and turns. Simply this book was an absolute pleasure to listen to.

Characters that you grow very fond of!
I loved this book, one of my favourite in the series. DC does his usual understated detecting in a story that appears straight forward at the beginning , but of course it never is!
