DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS…
At least, not until you’ve listened to this audiobook.
The False EXIT isn’t an audiobook about selling your business. It’s an audiobook about NOT selling your business.

IN THE FALSE EXIT, YOU’LL DISCOVER:
How to exit your business—WITHOUT selling it.
Why you don’t own your business—your business owns you.
How to sell a baby shop for £70 million.
Why you’re more likely to die than sell your business
How to stop running your business—and start owning it instead.
The five ways you could exit your business.
Why the founders of McDonald's left a billion dollars on the table.
How the “world’s worst manager” can help you lead your team.
Three words that turned a Devon rugby club into European Champions.
How to stop carrying buckets, and start building a pipeline.

John understands what makes business owners tick
The authour Has captured the essence of what business ownership is all about and uses stories and metaphors to explain it very well.
He steps the listener through the process of preparing a business to be ready for exit. Once the business is prepared and exit ready the owner can then run the business in a chairman role by remote control. They don't have to actually exit the business. He has also captured and identified what the owner has to do to keep adding value to the business when operating in this new role.

This is worth getting the physical book as well
This audio is brilliant, but there are so many points you need to write down, follow, think about, that you need the physical book to highlight, read again and digest so you've followed absorbed and can take action. I'm certain all I need to do is action the lessons in this book and I'll not need to read another business book

What would POTUS do?
Very practical advice. Loved the part about POTUS and the oldest content marketing book (I won't spoil here which book it is).
Overall, "The False Exit" doesn't present new ideas but it proposes a practical framework built on what other popular businesses authors have preached for decades. Highly recommend!

The False Exit: A Game-Changer for Business Owners
The False Exit is undoubtedly John Lamberton’s best book yet. As someone in the industry, I’ve seen so many business owners close their doors and retire, but after reading this book, that’s no longer going to be my path. Lamberton outlines clear, actionable systems and processes that any business can implement to operate with little to no input from the owner.
The insights shared in this book have already shifted my mindset about what’s possible for the future of my business. I’m excited to start putting these strategies into practice and look forward to the day when my business can run smoothly without needing me at the helm every day.
Thank you, John, for writing such a transformative book. I can’t wait to read more of your work in the future.

Worth reading even for those not planning to sell
We have all done it, we have all said it: "One day, I will sell my business and sail into the sunset..." Even if you have no intention to sell your business, John's book is an amazing insight into what ifs and what could be. And all the info is a remarkable treasure trove of anecdotes, stories and personal experiences. I thought of selling my business once, I even had a buyer. Did I know how many clients I had on the books, or the revenue that business could generate year in year out? Nope. Well, spoiler alert: selling a business needs slightly more preparation than selling a car. And John's book is also about many other very interesting things. Also check John's other books, there are great for small businesses' owners.
