About this listen
Discover the new and improved method to finally get to your healthier weight by design, not dieting without sacrificing good food, great company, and–most importantly–your health.
Do these statements sound familiar?
“I’ll start on Monday.”
“I’m never eating sugar again.”
“It’s Saturday–it’s my cheat day!”
If there’s one thing everyone seems to agree on, it’s that losing weight is difficult.
After all, we do need to eat. We need food for fuel, energy, and a dozen other health-related reasons. We nurture and repair our bodies with food. We get our nutrition from food.
We’re biologically coded to eat as much as we need to keep ourselves going. That’s an ingrained, pre-programmed survival instinct that is very, very difficult to fight…and it’s why starvation methods never work.
Evolutionarily speaking, survival is one of our top priorities, and we need food to survive.
The problem is that we don’t just eat to survive, do we?
Another thing we’re programmed to do is seek out pleasure and avoid pain like the plague. And, for most, eating a rich, decadent food dish bursting with flavor is a lot more pleasurable than eating steamed broccoli and rice.
We’ve associated “diet” or “limitation” with pain, and things like “burgers,” “cake,” and “ice cream” with pleasure. Of course we’re not going to make healthy food choices!
But, as Tony Robbins said: “Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change.”
If the pain of weighing more than you ever have is starting to drag you down….
If the pain of being trapped in a binge-restrict-binge cycle is messing with your health….
If the pain of hating how you look and hating how you feel is starting to affect your mood every day….
Then this book is your chance at change.
Inside, you’ll discover:
- What the Context Eating Method is – and its 3 foundational components
- Where you really need to begin if you want to lose weight (hint: it may not be where you think!)
- Four major triggers that may be the reason you overeat
- Why saying, “It’s not my fault,” is basically saying, “I have no power” – and how this mindset can hugely impact your health journey
- What automatic scripts are and how understanding them can help you lose weight
- Discover the one simple habit you can put in place to naturally eliminate snacking or mindless eating.
- A step-by-step guide to setting up a context eating meal plan that you can actually follow, week after week
- Bonus: a bundle of context meal plan food inspiration and recipes
- And much more
You might’ve already tried a dozen different diet trends, meal services, and fitness plans…each one leaving you feeling lost and frustrated. Now, you’re scared you’re doomed to live life on repeat.
This book isn’t a magic fix–it’s a practical guide. It’s your step-by-step manual to long-term sustainable weight loss, because taking it long-term is the only way that weight loss will stick.

Healthy Parameters for Control
This book is a great change of perspective for eating in context. Rid yourself of the negativity in your head and find the alternative to the dieting culture. There are root causes and issues that lead to weight gain or other health symptoms.
Key ideas include taking away the sole focus on food, awareness to control your personal and other habits, and healthier boundaries for a deeper level of health and eating for the long term.
Use this book to break situational patterns of food craving without involving your emotions in your choices. You can become happier and more in balance with your real goals/beliefs and gain the power to move your health in the right direction.

Healthy Eating!
This book helped me to learn that the key to losing weight may not be where we typically think it is. The book discusses four major triggers that can cause overeating and how understanding our automatic scripts can help us overcome them.
One particularly powerful concept discussed in the book was the idea that saying "It's not my fault" is essentially giving up our power and can have a huge impact on our health journey. Instead, we should focus on taking responsibility for our actions and making positive changes.
The book also provided practical tips, such as a simple habit to eliminate snacking and mindless eating, as well as a step-by-step guide to creating a context eating meal plan that is easy to follow week after week. And as a bonus, there were even some delicious recipes included!

Great Listen!
I recently listened to The Context Eating Method for Women on Audible and it completely revolutionized the way I think about dieting. The book is written by a nutritionist and is filled with wisdom and real tools to help you break the rules to traditional dieting that leave us feeling deprived and unsuccessful. An important message is that instead of seeing food as "good" or "bad," we should set out to discover what are the best, healthy choices for each individual. It's not just about eating carbs and cutting fat, but there's an entire context to finding the right eating habits. The system the author presents will help you leave dieting behind and create sustainable lifestyle changes for the long run. What I enjoyed most about this book was how relatable and tangible Reilly made the concepts. She addresses the root causes that often lead to symptoms and provides realistic steps to move away from bad habits and move toward better ones. Plugging away at changing one's mindset and relationship with food was the main point that resonated with me the most.

Great focus on nutrition and not denying yourself
I found this audiobook very relatable, and it gave me hope. Realistically I am not going to give up my comfort foods, and even if I did, I would be miserable. The author acknowledges this and gives GREAT tips and strategies on how to incorporate these sorts of foods into a healthy diet by balancing them with other foods and decreasing the frequency. She shares personal stories that are very relatable and helpful. This is a great listen, and it seems very achievable!
