Summary

Children are killing themselves across the state of Tennessee. Is it a horrible coincidence, or are dark forces at work?

When Jack Nightingale learns that there is a mysterious list of children who are at risk, he takes the case, spurred on by the fact that he knows one of the names, and that makes it personal. His investigation brings him up against a demon from hell who is being used on a mission of revenge. But if Nightingale is to save the children and his own soul, he’ll need help from an old adversary.

Well I am running out of choices, with Stephen Leather books, and this certainly kept me entertained whilst gardening

My favourite narrator too! Paul Thornley draws you in with every character, excellent listening

Another amazing Nightingale novel

Ill keep it short, hands down the best Nightingale novel to date, wow just had me hooked from the first chapter.
Read amazingly by Paul Thornley as always who brings the Nightingale series so much character and consistency with his narration.
Proserpine “Time to pay the piper Nightingale you’ve danced you last jig 😈”
I leave it there !

Another amazing Jack Nightingale

Mr Leather cannot write these fast enough for me. I love Jack brought perfectly to life by Paul Thornley who is an excellent narrator - in fact his narration is SO good I prefer to listen to these than read them. Every character from Jack to Wainright to the incredible voicing of Proserpine is fantastic. I’ll admit I found the Tennessee accents
On this one a little grating but hey, he did the best he could and it didn’t ruin the story for me. Only thing that’s disappoints me is that I’ve finished and have to wait goodness how long for another instalment.
