Excellent story and performance
Could not stop listening, and am so sad to have resched the end. The story is exciting, funny, sad and riveting. The performance flawlessly brings the characters and adventure to life.

Incredible world, amazing adventure!
Such an incredible story. Loved the characters, the world building and the journey. The narration with additional cast is fantastic and is really immersive. Couldn’t stop listening!

Engaging, accessible adventure story for all ages
The author’s background as a filmmaker is apparent from the first paragraph: well-written imagery, striking visuals, and a palpable sense of intrigue make this book instantly captivating.
The world building is rich but incorporated well within the story; I never felt lost or overwhelmed by the lore – on the contrary, I was keen to learn more about it. I particularly liked the exposition through religion, and enjoyed trying to piece together what had happened to this world through the Pa’s sermons.
Tales of the Risen Tide is a fast-paced, accessible adventure story appropriate for all ages.
Do yourself a favour and listen to the audiobook version if you can, because the multitude of voice actors (and the theme tune!) really added another dimension to this already immersive tale.

What a surprise!
Well, this had been coming up as a suggestion for awhile and I hesitated. However, on a whim decided to check it out...what a great surprise. Wonderful world building, characters, and imagination, with great narration. Very impressed...hope I don't have to wait to long for the sequel.

Immersive storytelling!
Haven't been able to "put this down" since purchasing. Insanely cool story, wicked voice acting and excellent narration left me unable to hit pause till I was many chapters in! Cannot recommend this enough for anyone who wants to get lost in the most epic of adventures.

I loved it. A swashbuckling dystopia filled with lovable characters.
Cinematic Storytelling. Fantastic world building. Not my normal genre, but loved it from start to finish.

I'd listen to this voice actor read more audiobooks!
amazing world building and really enjoyed all the voice actors. I'm usually pretty good at guessing where stories are going to go, but this caught me out on many an occasion!

An adventure for the ears!
Absolutely amazing! From start to finish, every line had me gripping my chair with eager excitement, unable to wait for the next chapter! I laughed, cried, rejoiced and gasped throughout this marvel of a story. 10/10!
