New Narration Distracting

I really dislike cliff-hangers, as I don’t like to be manipulated into buying the next book and I also enjoy a satisfying ending - especially having read the whole series! After all, even Lord of the Rings has a satisfying ending!

Having said that, I’ve mostly really enjoyed the series. The main issue (apart from cliff-hanging) was the new narrator. It wasn’t that the narrator was bad per se, but so very different from the previous narrator, that it changed the characters too much for comfortable reading. Gentle Fist was not himself and Lenui‘s cursing did not sing!

Finally, I really, really would like the loose ends tied up - otherwise, IMO, the series will not continue to be so popular and just drag on - which would be a shame.

fantastic novel let down by narration.

As usual a commanding read from Mr Cooley.
However, the lack-lister performance of the narrator spoiled my journey into this latest trip into the moonrat saga.
I gave him one star for his attempt at character accents but in fairness could not allocate any higher score.
