Great Book.

Because of this book, I now understand that I truly do need to establish more limits in order to achieve more balance and reduce the likelihood that I will get exhausted. The author has done an excellent job of capturing just much everything that we do in our personal and professional lives to cause unneeded stress, as well as how many things we take for granted and how many of those things we take for granted. Reading is something that every woman should do because I can promise that she will discover certain habits that she should change or new rituals and routines that she should adopt in order to live a life that is more tranquil, effective, and productive. Strongly suggested as an option.

Written for Me!

This part of the description is me in a nutshell: "How anxiety and stress turn into overthinking and negative thought patterns". This is easy for me to do, especially when there is legitimate stress happening that is out of my control. The cover resonated with me and I really enjoyed the audiobook. It made sense and gave me good insight on how to put me first and the rest will fall into place.

felt validated, uplifted, and beat my overwhelm!

Right from the beginning, I knew I wanted to recommend this book to others. In the first chapter, the author explains the history of women and how they’ve had dual responsibilities with the family and workplace, and how this has made it really complicated to do real self-care.

As the book went on, I listened to the author explain how successful women in different career fields and walks of life have secrets to self-care, and their mindset around them. What I loved about this book was the way the author positioned the point of all this and it created a motivation and desire inside of me to change things. I would recommend this book - 5 stars!

Eye opening and tremendous healthy habit guide

Incredibly insightful book by the awesome author Tula Rhodes. Gorgeously narrated by the great Jane Ghazni. This book highlights the often overlooked roles that women face in day to life, which more often than not is to keep others happy. Taking a moment to put yourself is calmly told to you so that you can be reminded that you are important and you need to prioritize yourself over others' novelty needs and expectations of you.

Good Habits to Keep

What a good job done by the author. The book threw more light to me as to the overwhelming role of a woman. It is sometime difficult for us women to think about ourselves.
This book has reawakened that part of care to self in me that was sleeping. I feel inspirationally revived, I asked myself reflecting questions as to who am I and what are my goals? I am already making good use of the tools like figuring out my coping strategies and exercising.

practical self care

In conversation, it's easy to say things like 'choose yourself,' but how does that look like in practice? It looks like getting some good sleep and practicing the necessary hygiene to make sure that happens. It is setting boundaries and having them have consequences. It's about dealing with negative thoughts and creating a mindful routine for how you show up every day. This book helps you figure it all out.
