A horror story but not out of place
I didn't expect one of these novels to go Event Horizon.
But they did and it's not badly done.

Fun and interesting
For how a lot of these books have been going, this one has been pretty interesting in terms of what it goes into with void ships and the life on them on a macro level. I'm not a big fan of the void warfare books, but this one is genuinely a stand-out for me. It's very good and on the par for good 40k audio-books (and I'm generally picky).
John Banks is John Banks, if you're a fan it's more John Banks.
There are some sound distortions for the comms, but I liked them. You don't get them often in the longer audiobooks, but their used sparingly if you're not into that kind of thing.
It's fun, lots of intrigue, some horror and interesting characters, I'd easily recommend it.

Brilliant story line that you don't see coming until its too late!
Pulls you in like all the Dawn of Fire books but this one spits you out and leaves you feeling amazingly entertained and at the same time cursing yourself! Brilliant book, extremely detailed, descriptive and as always, narrated expertly!

Warhammer horror
And to me it was more a gothic horror set onboard an imperial ship than a story in the dawn of fire series, only in the last chapters and epilogue do you get a link to previous DoF books, really enjoyed it and John Banks is an excellent narrator

Warhammer does Event Horizon
well written and performed if a little slow to start. I did enjoy the horror take on a 40k story, like most of the other recent dawn of fire books it doesn't actually move the Indomitus story along, it is one of the best in the dawn of fire series tho
