Summary
Don’t talk to strangers.
Zak: Tattoo artist. Independent. Doesn’t do relationships.
Stitch: Outlaw biker. Deep in the closet. Doesn’t share his property.
On the day of Stitch’s divorce, lust personified enters the biker bar he’s celebrating at. Tattooed all over, pierced, confident, and hot as hellfire, Zak is the bone Stitch has waited for life to throw him. All Stitch wants is a sniff, a taste, a lick. What follows instead is gluttony of the most carnal sort, and nothing will ever be the same. Forced to hide his new love affair from the whole world, Stitch juggles family, club life, and crime, but it’s only a matter of time until it becomes too hard.
Zak moves to Lake Valley in search of peace and quiet, but when he puts his hand into the jaws of a Hound of Valhalla, life gets all but simple. In order to be with Stitch, Zak’s biker wet dream, he has to crawl right back into the closet. As heated as the relationship is, the secrets, the hiding, the violence, jealousy, and conservative attitudes in the town rub Zak in all the wrong ways. When pretending he doesn't know what his man does becomes impossible, Zak needs to decide if life with an outlaw biker is really what he wants.
As club life and the love affair collide, all that’s left in Zak and Stitch’s life is mayhem.
Warning: Contains adult content - a gritty storyline, explicit language, violence, and torture

Gritty
What an amazing book to listen to, One of the MCs is so far in the closet he needs a flashlight to find a way out, I really enjoy these ladies books , but listening toWyatt Baker(what a voice) gave it more depth and feeling then I got from reading this, eager for the next in this series well worth the credit.

Hot bikers
Loved this! Like always with K. A. Merikan, the characters are kind of a*sholes, but I like them. The narration is perfect for these mean badass bikers!

Dark and gritty.... yet awesome
Scary how homophobia can make people do such vile stuff. Stitch is a biker bad boy, who just got divorced. He is gay, but way inside the closet and when he meets tattoo artist Zak, he wants to explore. I was afraid for him all through the book. This story evoked may emotions, I felt for Stitch and sometimes wanted to kick him but he is a great character. Zak is a dear, he really took a lot of $&$& from Stitch. I liked how the relationship evolved though. Danger was all around them and that made it exciting yet terrifying. The narrator has a great voice and made the listen that much better.

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year.
it's like a B

Long awaited and very worth it
I have loved this series since first stumbling across it with it's mix of rough, tough motorcycle men along with touching emotional scenes and a great relationship built between two very different people.
Stitch is a rough character really well voiced by Wyatt, everything he was going through internally was believable and conveyed with feeling. Zak can't help the attraction he has towards Stitch and the attraction between them shines through from the writing and narrating.
There are a lot of hard situations to make it through for both the MC's and the listener with the Hounds of Valhalla MC becoming embroiled in drugs and the secrecy that is necessary for Stitch and Zak to have any sort of relationship.
I was fully captured by the story and narration provided by Wyatt Baker. This is my first time hearing his voice and he has done an amazing job with entertaining the listener and giving voice to two very interesting characters with a roller coaster of emotions throughout the book.
Highly recommend and I am so excited for book 2, my favourite out of the series!

Bad Boys, Bikes, Tattoos & other dangerous things
Wyatt Baker is a new-to-me narrator, but I thought he did a credible job of bringing the story and characters to life.
I do enjoy the writings of Kat and Agnes with the darkness they feed/stir within the darker recesses of my mind/imagination.
I like Zak, the Tattoo Artist, but I didn't really like Stitch, the MC member very much to begin with as he's very self-centred and not so good at communicating his expectation to his significant others.
Zak seems to have a good head on his shoulders and I enjoyed taking the journey with him as he enters the world of the Hounds of Valhalla MC. Recommended if your a fan of MCs with plenty of bad boys, their hogs, and naughty sexy times.
Trigger warning of violence in the latter part of the story.

DNF this
Can I start by saying I was very surprised that I couldn't really get into this one, I've certainly liked all the previous books I've read by this author. Yet it wasn't the fault of the narrator either, although this is the first book I've heard him narrate, he was doing a lovely job and has a rather nice voice. I think it was just not my cup of tea. Even though the blurb piqued my interest, and I was sort of enjoying the start, I just wasn't that keen on either of the two main characters and I just wasn't in the mood to listen to anymore of their story. I certainly won't be giving up on reading any K.A. Merikan books that come my way in the future, nor will I forgo listening to Wyatt Baker because of this one book. Overall I would advice give it a try for yourself and don't let my experience put you off doing so.

Not for me.
Although this is a very well written book and I enjoyed Wyatt Baker’s voice, for some reason I couldn’t get into it which meant it took me a while to get through. So technically it was very good which is why it got the rating it did, but it was not my cup of tea. This is just my opinion.

Road of No Return (Hounds of Valhalla MC Sex &Mayhem Book 1)by K.A. Merikan. This story develops nicely. A good combination of world building and character development. This story is intense but very good.
The Narrator Wyatt Baker did a fantastic job bringing these characters and story to life.
