About this listen
A Cultivation Progression Fantasy Epic: Magic, Reincarnation, and Mythical Races. By the Author of Guardian of Aster Fall. In a a world of cultivators, Verse will become a legend.
Ages ago, the world was filled with mythical beasts and cultivators who could shake the heavens. Whispers say they are searching for a way home, but an ancient enemy has blocked the path.
After passing through the River of Fate, Verse's memories are fragmented and mixed with others. Only by exploring a world on the verge of destruction will he be able to discover who he is and claim his destiny.
He will rise from humble beginnings and shake the foundation of the world as he unlocks the heritage of the Emerald Dragons, gathering power until he is able to right an ancient wrong.
This is a xianxia immortal cultivation story. It focuses on gathering power to break through to new levels, alchemy as a crafting profession, and fighting enemies of a higher tier. Verse uses jade and sunset magic, unlocks an ancient inheritance, and uncovers a primordial bloodline.

Can't wait for the next book
I almost didn't get this book because of some negative reviews but after having just finished it I'm glad I did. None of the issues I saw mentioned in those reviews were actually relevant since they either played a small part or just weren't as bad as they said. There's a difference between bad writing and a character making bad decisions because of their life experiences, if you can't handle the latter and just want things to work out in the main character's favor all the time then you should probably skip this. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the book, loved the power progression and world building, and can easily recommend it.

Too much of everything and series dropped at book 2
First book started fine until it started mixing in too much. There is mention of reincarnation, demon, devil , beast kin, elves, nanotechnology, dragon, ghosts etc etc.
There is no progress in cultivation and character, just some random events and stuff with spell and items that’s are more ridiculous than the next.
Book 2 even steps everything up with a even more ridiculous thing about the MC that just makes me not care at all and I DNF the book and gonna drop the series. Just hate when a cultivation series start with a ok plot that just grows likes chaos.
