About this listen
Gwen
I never wanted this life. My dreams were simple—love, and maybe college.
But now I'm bound to Bobby, the Mafia King of Chicago. He both terrifies and captivates me. So why does every touch from him send my heart pounding like a war drum?
Bobby
Welcome to my kingdom—Chicago. I want everything—power, billions, you name it.
But first, I need a queen. Enter Gwen. She's merely a means to an end. Love? Don't make me laugh. Women are mere diversions. She’s about to discover what being married to me really means.
The Russian Bratva daring to mess with my turf? They're signing their death warrants.
Gwen
So, he thinks he can use me? Fine, let the games begin. But in this deadly tug-of-war between the Mafia and the Bratva, we're both pawns, and our lives are the chips on the table.
Bobby
This marriage was supposed to be a straightforward transaction. But Gwen—she's pulling me apart, thread by thread. And for the first time, I'm questioning what I really want.

Promised at Birth.

Love was not on the cards for Bobby Vincenzio even when he was to wed Gwen the female that was promised to him at birth. Gwen never wanted the life she lives she thought it was going to be a loveless marriage. There was an attraction between them but the bantering really was amazing. Cannot wait to get started on the next one.

I enjoyed the narration of Kathy Handrock
Bobby is a successful and twenty-eight years old, the youngest Capo of the Chicago Outfit. He loves power, money and sex. Bobby had dated a actress but he didn't want a relationship with love. His has called him back to his childhood home. Both of Bobby's brothers are married and his father Paul wants him married. Paul's friend Zachary has a daughter Gwendolyn that has turned eighteen. Years ago Paul and Zachary agreed that one of the three sons would marry Gwendolyn. Bobby's other two brothers are already married, so that leaves Bobby.
What started off as fake slowly turns into something real...
