About this listen
Avoid unnecessary debt, financial stress, and bad investments right from the start with this simple seven-step system for financial literacy.
We learn a lot of things in school that we seem to never need again. Yet one of the most important factors of a successful adult life remains almost untouched by schools: financial literacy.
The lack of knowledge and experience with money management comes at devastating costs for young adults: Nearly one in five adults between the ages of 18 and 24 with a credit record in the US currently have debt in collections.
Many of them will likely accumulate more and more debt in the upcoming years, leaving them with little to no assets and an uncertain future.
If you are between the ages of 17 and 25, it is crucial to educate yourself about personal finance.
By doing so, you will be able to utilize the money you make in the best way possible, set and achieve your boldest goals, and create financial independence for yourself.
But what is the best way to get started? Unfortunately, there is a lot of outdated and misleading information out there that can actually worsen rather than improve your financial situation.
Thankfully, this book is different. It will help you understand the most important aspects of money management, so you can achieve financial independence in just seven simple steps.
Inside this book, you will discover:
- How to build a financial mindset that will set you up for a successful future
- The five most common mistakes when setting up financial goals and how to avoid them
- Making money: How to find a job, even if you have little to no work experience yet
- The ultimate guide to getting rid of debt and staying out of it
- An introduction to budgeting: What it is, why you need it, and how to make it work for your individual situation
- The six best investment types for newbie investors and how to determine which ones will work best for you
- And much more!

great financial guide
The book begins by cultivating a powerful financial mindset, setting the foundation for a successful future. It then dives into goal-setting, exposing the common mistakes to avoid, ensuring readers can make the most of their hard-earned money. For those just starting, the book offers valuable advice on finding a job, even with minimal work experience.
What I truly loved about this book is its comprehensive coverage of debt management. It's crucial to stay out of the debt trap, and the book provides a thorough guide on how to achieve that. Budgeting is another essential skill covered, tailored to individual circumstances. In a world where financial ignorance can lead to devastating consequences, this book stands out as a beacon of knowledge and empowerment. It equips young adults with essential tools to make smart financial decisions, avoid unnecessary stress and debt, and pave the way towards a financially secure and fulfilling future. Don’t fall into the debt trap
I recently listened to the audiobook "Personal Finance for Young Adults - From Broke to Boss 7 Simple Steps to Building Wealth, Crushing Debt, and Living Your Best Life as a Financial Beginner" and I have nothing but great things to say about it! The author provides practical tips for creating a budget, managing debt, and building long-term wealth that are perfect for young adults like myself who are just starting out on our financial journeys.
One of the highlights of the book was learning about the dangers of credit card debt and how to pay it off. As someone who has struggled with credit card debt in the past, the advice provided was extremely helpful and gave me the tools I need to manage my debt and avoid falling into the same trap again.
The narrator was such a pleasure to listen to, making the book engaging and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this audiobook to any young adult looking to gain financial literacy and build a successful financial future.

All you need to know
There is so much in this book that I wish I had learnt when I was younger. Things like how to stay out of debt or never get into it in the first place and how to make money passively. Those two are already big ones when it comes to personal money management. The book teaches you those and more. I loved that the language is simple enough that the principles are easy to grasp. I will certainly be gifting this book to my young teens in a year or two.

I really enjoyed the flow of this book with the great narration from start to the end.
The author clearly and interestingly highlights the reasons and benefits behind each advice. This book is packed with many great tips from saving, and purchasing mindset, to presenting yourself in a job interview effectively.
Each section of this book is designed to get a young adult prepared for their future endeavors, and their success.
Most young adults won't get exposed to any of the information in this book as part of the school curriculum. So It's essential to complement the educational system with materials such as this book.

Critical insights for young adults
Tackling a subject matter that is too often shied away from in high school curriculum, this author breaks down the fundamental considerations and understands that every teen and young adult should have in the world of finance. From financial discipline, maintaining strong credit, and the plethora of investing avenues available today, the author tailors these subjects to a younger mind who might not be as familiar with the concepts, as a seasoned professional.
The logic of each chapter progresses well into the next, and the narrator is easy to understand and follow along with. Overall a solid audiobook for teens entering the adult world!
