About this listen
How do you get rid of unwanted guests? What do you do if there's a racket in the quiet carriage? How should you eat peas, and behave in queues?
How to behave, like how to punctuate, is an aspect of life that many are no longer taught. Thankfully, Sandi Toksvig has come to the rescue with her entertaining guide to modern manners, with characteristic wit and perceptiveness.

Very informative and humorous
Listening to Sandi narrating was fabulous, her humour made what could be a heavy subject extremely informative and lighter as well as very funny in parts.
I hope Mary enjoys this as much as I did.

Humorous and informative
Sandi brings the same combination of subtle comedy and interesting facts that we know and love in QI. The topic of manners and etiquette is a strange one, it’s not something I would normally read, but as it’s by Sandi I knew it would be excellent, and it was. This is the first of Sandi’s books that I have read, and I will be sure to read more of her work.

Brilliantly informative Book
I really enjoyed this book & I found it very enlightening. There’s some very funny anecdotes about pregnancy & childbirth that had me laughing a lot and a whole host of things from history that I’ve never heard before. I’ll be definitely passing on some of Sandi’s wisdom onto my daughter as she grows up. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone & I’ll be listening to it again when I need a good cheering up.

funny, with uncomfortable moments.
humor is tounge in cheek and light-hearted for most, but sometimes cuts a little close to home with assumptions about listeners "if you think you are starving visit a third world country" / "don't question if you are refused at an apparantly empty restraunt"
