Summary
My midlife crisis. My rules. And if it doesn’t put me six feet under, I plan to live it up in style - possibly for the rest of eternity....
After a Luke Skywalker/Darth Vader moment, I discovered I do indeed have a father. He comes with a hell of a lot of baggage, but I’ve decided to keep him. Not only do I have a father, I have a kick-ass new sister, a ghostly family, and super powers to boot. If you add to the mix that I’m dating the Grim Reaper, it’s a freakin’ party.
The only thing standing in the way of my happiness is the Angel of Mercy, though Angel of Misery is more appropriate. She’s responsible for almost everyone I have loved, and who has loved me, being taken away. With the help of family and friends, I will track her down and show her exactly what a perimenopausal hot flash looks like in action.
Job: Death counselor - supergluing ghosts back together and solving their issues is rewarding. For real.
Mission: Bring the seriously evil Angel of Mercy to justice without dying or getting anyone else killed in the process.
Team: A bunch of certifiable Immortals, including one who re-homes vibrators. Yes, you read that correctly.
How to do this? Wing it. Wine, my demon boyfriend, a houseful of deceased squatters, and good friends by my side will help.

Enjoyable
I have really enjoyed listening to the first 4 books in this series. Different, funny and addictive. A great mix of characters and all thoroughly entertaining. I’ve loved that they were free books. I hope the rest of the series will be free soon.

Love this series 🥰
I absolutely love these books. The entire series is fast paced, hilarious, absurd and a little macabre (in a light hearted kind of way.
The romance is clean, and we get absolutely no spice at all, but the suspense and story in general is so good we dont actually miss it.
Narration is outstanding and made the story even better. Her voices, timing and interpretation of the characters was perfection. But, a male narrator would have enhanced even more.

Great !!!
I love that there are so many books in this series as I’m truly not ready for this story to end. It’s got just enough of all the right things. A little romance, a little magic, a lot of comedy, love the random facts Tim comes up with. Even when you figure things out before the story confirms there’s always a twist. I gobbled this one up in a day

Too repetitive
Honestly I like the story, the narration is my cup of tea - but... the repetitive explanations for some characters is rather obnoxious. It is a 4th book for crying out loud... honestly, if all those parts were cut off the audio narration would barely have 3 hours... started to be annoying in the third book but here it is mindblowingly irritating - or just my patience got worn out. Overally I like the story very much - but also am happy it is for free with the membership, because I am quite sure I would not purchase any of the books after book 3.

still addicted
usually I become invested in the first three books of a series and become bored and move on to a different series.
Not with this one though every book so far has gripped me from start to finish.
I would leave a better review but I want to start listening to the next book.

A great series with great narration. Lots of right out laughs and even some tears both bitter sweet and out right sad ones, Can truly reccomend to anyone who likes the genre and interesting plot twists combined with great character depictions,
