Summary

DCI John Meredith has one day left in the job when his friend Ben Jacobs is arrested for murder. According to the numerous witnesses in the nightclub where Jacobs works, Jacobs stabbed Aiden O’Brien in a motiveless attack.

Meredith believes all is not as it seems and is determined to prove his friend’s innocence, even if it means letting down Patsy Hodge, allowing the secret intelligence service to call the shots, and ignoring his increasing ill-health.

Patsy Hodge is furious that Meredith has changed his plans without consulting her and is, once again, keeping her in the dark. It soon becomes apparent, however, that their cases are intrinsically linked, and Hodge’s search for two bodies might just be the key to unlocking the mystery as to why Aiden O’Brien was murdered.

Mistaken Beliefs is the sixth book in the Meredith & Hodge series. If you like great storytelling, surprising plot twists, and compelling characters, then you are ready to meet Meredith and Hodge. Buy Mistaken Beliefs today.

Great Listen

This is yet another top story in the Meredith and Hodge series by M.K Turner. Great characters and plenty of twists and turns to keep you sitting on the edge of your seat throughout. Lee Beddows narration again second to none. Highly recommended.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the author and leave this honest review.

Another enjoyable book from M K Turner

A really enjoyable book. Lots of twists and turns keep you on your toes. Listening to these in sequence order has meant that you can see the main characters develop though the books are fine as standalone books too. Can’t wait to start the next one

That's what friends are for

This series just keeps getting better & better. Plenty of thrills and spills, twists, turns and and humour and Meredith shows his compassionate side when he pulls out all the stops to prove his friend's innocence...or guilt.

I have to wonder why he and Patsy always seem to ignore their phones when they are on an important case, often missing vital information until too late because they can't be bothered to pick up or read their messages. But, I know a few people like that so maybe it's more normal than I think.

The usual characters are included despite Meredith leaving the force. Well, nobody could expect him to just walk away, surely.

Lee Beddow gives an excellent performance as always and adds life to the characters.

Love this series

I've come to the end of my free codes and I'm so sad. I have loved each book of this series. The books are gripping and very well written, the narrator is superb I could and have listened to him for hours. I will definitely be looking out for more books by both the author and narrator.

Things are getting serious and friends are involved

How far will Meredith go for a friend? I absolutely loved this book. Did Ben murder that man? Meredith and Hodge must dig up everyone's past and find a way to clear Ben's name. As usual, Peggy (one of the best characters) is there to help with all the other regulars to make this another awesome story. I love these characters, M. K. Turner and Lee Beddow once again have you fully engrossed. I couldn't put it down.
