About this listen

A charismatic Cuban, Alberto Mistro, offers five middle-aged couples an all-expenses paid holiday. Too good to be true? Of course!

The Mistro family has a secret past, and the holiday makers find themselves in a race against time. They are required to solve a 600-year-old puzzle. If they succeed, they get to go home. If they fail...well, let’s just say, failure isn’t an option.

Not what I thought

I listened to this book and took me a while to get into it, not what I expected. The book is interesting and good story.

Different and enjoyable

A difficult one for the narrator this, so many accents and both Male and female characters. Interesting story line, different to M K Turner's usual. Most enjoyable.

Different but enjoyable

I like M K Turner's style of writing and I have listened to all of the Meredith and Hodge series (which are highly recommended). This one is quite different from those which was refreshing and was more easy listening. Lee Beddow is an awesome narrator but some of the accents in this book proved to be a challenge. I did enjoy the book and all of its different characters. Worth a listen for sure.
