About this listen

Mike reunites with his wife and his friend Paul aboard the Guardian only to find that things have gone from bleak to hellish on earth. Rampaging hordes of Genogerians plague the planet, as does an invasion from Progerians hell-bent on knuckling under the will of man through their relentless assault. Yet this may not be the worst of it, as an insidious "ally" has lent their support. At what cost can a planet on the brink come back from such desperate odds?

Can Mike and those around him keep things from getting worse while also not tearing each other apart?

Better and better

I really enjoyed the opening gambit of this series but as it matures it becomes deeper, more complex and draws parallels with non-prehistoric (you'll get this one you've read it) history. But what never changes is Tufo's brilliant storytelling and his rich, diverse characters. Old friends and enemies return. D has to be one of my favourite of Tufo's characters, across all his books.

As ever, Sean Runnette brings Tufo's vivid world alive with his expert narration. As a team these guys are unstoppable and I can't imagine Michael Talbot without Sean's expressive voice.

Re-reading ahead of IH6's release on 6th June and realised I hadn't reviewed. Can't wait!

Just never lets you stop

This is the next chapter of a already epic battle series but yet mark has done far better than before with the action not allowing me to stop listening to the point of an ending to make me die inside from knowing it will be awhile before the next book will tell me the outcome of this amazing series mark tufo best author of all time but now I need to wait

Very good, but not great...

Sean Runnette is one of the best narrators around for this type of genre and Mark Tufo is one of the best authors around for this type of genre. However, I'm probably going to upset a few fans when I say that I think this series is becoming a little repetitive.

Same old story. Mike and his friends come up against a deadlier challenge. The Aliens are bigger, the odds of losing are greater, and the last minute miracles are more frequent.. It's all getting too predictable.

When I first started reading the Indian Hill series, it was refreshing and new. I was completely hooked. However, if you liked book three, or four, you will like book five, because it's the same. It's probably better for you to just listen to book four again, but play the chapters in a different sequence.

Don't get me wrong, its still a good book It's just not a great book.

Why do I have to wait another year for book 6

Absolutely amazing especially as it is a middle book in a second trilogy.

If you follow the Talbot books from zombie, Lycan, etc you will know what the humour of Tufo's is like.

The book has a nice mix of of characters from ZF actually the book has an awesome cameo from one of my favourite characters from the ZF books.

I honestly wish I didn't have to wait a year but with hopefully a new a ZF book and new Lycan Fallout on the way I can try my best to be patient.

Better than ever!

What made the experience of listening to Into the Fire the most enjoyable?

The humour works amazingly well you just don't want to stop.

What did you like best about this story?

The whole story is amazing but the way the characters balance so well is Mark Tufo back to his best.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

I enjoyed all of them but loved the cameo from a great character in other Mark Tufo books.

Any additional comments?

I love the Indian Hills book most now out of all Mark Tufo books and that is hard to say as he does amazing books(apart from LF), but the IH series are like the first 6 ZF books where the character balance and humour is amazing and every minute of the book is fantastic. I know Mark Tufo has so many series going on currently and i know i have a long wait but really really looking forward to IH6 :)
