About this listen
Settle in with Top Chef host Curtis Stone as he discusses the complicated fundamentals of French cuisine in his signature Australian accent. First published in 1903, this work by Escoffier is still considered foundational to professional chefs and home cooks alike.
Bedtime stories are narrated by the world’s most celebrated voices and written with no beginning, middle, or end so you don’t stay up to hear what happens next. They're interesting enough to give your mind something to focus on but delivered in a way that encourages sleep.

Escoffier made into a meditation mockery
Out of context, making a mockery of a subject is very easy. From car mechanics, computer programing, or building a bridge can be read or listened to and found to be dull.
So yes, reading aloud in a slow, emotionless voice. the fundamentals of making consomme, stock or sauces is meant to be soporific..
I am disappointed in Curtis Stone and sorry that a founding father of French cuisine has turned into something intended to send someone to sleep.
