About this listen
Pretending to be a hot hockey player’s girlfriend shouldn’t be a problem.
Except when that player is my brother’s teammate, Foster Craig, with the body of a god and a British accent that melts the panties straight off my lady bits. Did I mention that I might have a teeny crush on him?
But after a picture of an accidental kiss goes viral, he makes an offer I’d be hard-pressed to refuse. A few dates in exchange for a lot of money. It seems harmless enough. And besides, I have a dead car, a baby to take care of, and a romance novel to write.
I just have to remember: No. More. Hockey. Players. Especially one who scores more off the ice than on.
Even if he comes to my rescue after my car breaks down. Or attempts to make me a cake for my birthday. Or dances with my two-month-old son when he thinks I’m not watching. I'm trying to resist him, but when he offers to help me test out "positions" for the novel I'm writing, things get a little...complicated (And I’m not just talking about the reverse wheel barrow with a corkscrew twist).
And I find myself breaking my rules one by one.
If I take my heart out of the penalty box, am I going to end up being checked by yet another player?
Dirty Devil is a laugh-out-loud, steamy fake-relationship/single-mom/reformed-playboy sports romance featuring a British hockey player with a fancy peen and his teammate's little sister with an addition to spicy books. This book is a full-length stand-alone with no cheating, cliff-hangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

Good story
With great performances by James Cortes and Phillipa Miller, this has bern a fun listen. Avery, a single mum, and Lincoln, a Brit playing hockey in the US, come to an arrangement to help Linc's reputation...and the rest is a sweet love story, with some heat, as Linc navigates new emotions and Avery takes a chance on finding a new future and continuing to be a fabulous mother. I enjoyed the audio very much and was rooting for them both, and for the successful settling of some overdue scores both on and off the rink!! 💖💖💖💖

Brits play hockey too
So this was a first for me, a British hockey player, and I'm not mad about it at all. He's got the accent and demeanor to match the British pr!ck charm he's known for. Avery is what you'd expect from her past with some added mama bear energy thrown in. Overall, this was a great story with a funny premise and meet cute (kind of) If you like sports romance and accents definitely give this a listen.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧Sweet & Spicy!
I was completely enthralled by this wonderfully delightful steamy sport romance that tugged at my heartstrings. It is my first Melissa Ivers’ book, and I enjoyed her writing style and the story she created, which is interesting and entertaining. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about and root for too. Foster Craig is a player both on and off the ice since he is more of a “love them and leave them” type of guy with no interest in having a relationship. Avery Remington, a single mom, she always had a crush on her brother’s friend and teammate Foster, but she is done with hockey players. Besides, he only sees her as his friend’s younger sister, not to mention she is not his usual modelesque type. When she had car troubles she tried calling her brother but he did not answer, so she called Foster, who came to her rescue. He was getting unwanted attention from a puck bunny and introduces Avery as his girlfriend and lands a passionate kiss on her, which was caught on camera. The photo went viral and his agent suggested it would be good for his image if he was in a committed relationship. He comes up with a plan, proposes the idea to Avery and makes her an offer she finds hard to refuse. I loved these two together and for each other and all goes well until it doesn’t and Foster’s insecurities get the best of him. The writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. I adored Avery, an aspiring author who finds “her people” at a bookstore she stopped in and then the bookclub they invited her to join. Foster had a good heart, and he was great with her son. This story has the perfect balance of drama, charm, witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Melissa Ivers, thank you for this fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 James Cortes and Philip Miller did a great job portraying the characters, giving each a voice that was fitting and believable. Cortes’ Foster was spot on, a swoon worthy player and so much more. Miller aced it as Avery, grasping every aspect of her personality, from her insecurities to her strength and determination to her passion. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the fantastic listen.

Foster and Avery!
When Avery found out she was pregnant her hockey playing boyfriend wanted nothing to do with her or their son Mason. She is determined to be independent with the ultimate goal of writing romance novels but in the interim her finances are a bit tight. When Foster, a teammate of her brother, needs a pretend girlfriend it seems like the solution to both their problems.
Foster had difficulties with his agent which has led to difficulties with his sponsors and the end of his contract with the Devil’s coming up. He wants an extension and his new agent suggests that showing him in a committed relationship will help on both fronts so he asks Avery to pretend to be his girlfriend but now the man who has only ever wanted hockey is beginning to develop feelings for both Avery and Mason.
Avery wanted nothing to do with a hockey player and Foster wasn’t looking for love but some things are meant to be even if they had to overcome some turmoil along the way. The narrators managed to portray the swoony British accent of Foster as well as the humor and heart of this story. 🎧 Pink Flamingo Productions

Amazing dual narration from James Cortes and Phillipa Miller
British Foster Craig, is on the Nashville Devils is singularly focused. He is cleaning up his bad boy reputation. Foster has no indication of falling love, well that was until he meets Avery. A kiss that was accidental and now goes viral. Also Avery is the sister of one of Foster's teammates, and therefore off limits. Aver is beautiful, a single mom. Who has a crush on Foster. They both agree to a fake relationship to improve Fosters' reputation. This story is packed with so much chemistry and laugh out loud moments.

Fun listen!
Melissa Ivers is a new author to me, and this sports romance has made me an instant fan! Although book 4 in the series, it stands alone, and I didn't feel like I have missed anything. Now onto the story! Foster Craig is a playboy. Not ever looking to settle down, he is up front with the women he is with and enjoys his life. When an accidental kiss takes place and the picture goes viral, things begin to change. Avery is the sister of one of Foster's teammates, and therefore off limits. But that kiss gives him an opportunity to adjust his image. After all, she is beautiful, a single mom and more than willing to take the deal he presented to her. He doesn't know Avery has always had a crush on him though. But the more these two spend time together, the more the fake relationship looks real. Or is it fake? This story is packed with so much chemistry and laugh out loud moments. Enjoying their banter, the awkward baby scenes, the audacity of her ex and all around romantic feel that Foster brings, the book flows quickly and with lots of entertainment. I kept finding myself smiling! It's easy to fall for Foster and him with the baby, ...be still my heart. Avery is an independent woman, and she needs to know she make it, but as she begins to rely on Foster and give him her heart, I knew I was in for ride. The question is, what was he going to do? Loved this, enjoyed getting to know the team and their women and look forward to more of this series.
James Cortes, what a voice! He brings romance to a new level as Foster. The accent is smooth and pulled me in from the start. Phillipa Miller comes in as Avery with all the emotions of a jilted, new mom as she works through life. I loved these two together. Their voices complimented each other and created a very enjoyable listen.

Fake dating your brother’s teammate when you may or may not have a thing for him, will lead to laughs, kisses, sleepless nights, but also secrets, insecurity, & complications.
This was a fun, quick story full of tension, hockey & spice.
