Summary

Bestselling phenomenon Simon McCleave is back with another Anglesey-set gripping, crime thriller full of twists that will keep you guessing until the end.

When a seventeen-year-old girl vanishes from her home overnight, DI Laura Hart knows that time is of the essence.

Then, an inmate at the local prison is murdered in her cell and suddenly Beaumaris CID is juggling two major investigations.

With inmates refusing to talk to the police, Laura is forced to take drastic action: going undercover behind bars.

With everyone under suspicion, Laura’s true identity must be kept a secret, meaning no one can protect her.

Locked in with a killer, it’s a race against time – can Laura find a lead… before she’s found out?

Best one in the series

Love the setting. Love the characters. This series just goes from strength to strength. Can’t wait for the next one.

Hmmm disappointing!

The premis of the story was interesting but the book as a whole wasn't up to the standard of the previous volumes in the series. The narration was poor. This woman may be able to do various accents passably well in particular place names is Welsh but she still cannot read all the words and cannot pronounce Beaumaris which comes up in every chapter several times. I found her voice turned the whole story into an endurance test. I don't think I shall bother listening to any further books in this series.

DISAPPOINTING

HAVE READ ALL THIS SERIES BUT THIS ONE WAS NOT UP TO THIS AUTHORS USUAL STANDARD. THE DATE, DAY AND TIME START TO EVERY CHAPTER WAS ANNOYING AND I SKIPPED MOST OF IT AND JUST LISTENED TO THE ENDING. WASTE OF A CREDIT.
