An emotional roller coaster!

Burn is the continuation (and conclusion) of Gigi Gallo and Pike Moore’s story and picks up where Flame left off.

This book is one emotional roller coaster—it’s sexy, dramatic, funny, with a little mystery! My heart broke for Pike when the reason why his parents treated him so badly was revealed and I loved the dynamic of the Gallo family. The story is full of twists and turns that kept me at the edge of my seat until the end.

Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke did a fantastic job narrating.

Burn is a contemporary romance in dual first-person POV and performed in dual narration. It ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.

I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Amazing Listen

When I did the first book in this series, I was annoyed with Gigi, thinking she was a spoilt princess. Wanting to get Pike fired just because they had a one night stand. And I thought if they fired him because of that they all suck… lol.. But as the story progressed I really enjoyed the story and didn’t want it to end. But then book 2 came along and I couldn’t get enough of this couple. Glad it picked up right where it left off.

It seemed that trouble just keeps on following poor Pike everywhere. Pike is loyal and passionate and would do anything to protect Gigi. And with Gigi’s sassy and takes no prisoners attitude they were perfect for each other. This story is filled with so much twists and unexpected moments and lots of steamy sessions. I was totally captured from beginning to end. You think you getting a romance story but it ends up being filled with so much more.

The audio narrators were totally spot on. I love Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor. It was so nice just to relax and listen to their voices narrating the story to me😊 ♥

As with this authors previous men of inked series this series will make you fall in love with each character. I cant wait to read the next story… Wildfire… Tamara and Mammoth 😊 ♥

Sucks you in for a really good time!

I am so glad that Pike and Gigi got a duet, because I was not ready to be done with them. There is so much action, drama and love in this second part of their love story that I couldn't put it down. Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor continued to narrate this fun story perfectly. I loved the addition of Tamara and Austin as well as the resolution of the drama with Pike's dad. This book has everything that makes me love romance novels and I highly recommend for a book that sucks you in and give you a good time.

Gigi and Pike!

Just when you think that Gigi and Pike can have their second chance Pike’s past comes back with vengeance which places Gigi in danger and to put it mildly it doesn’t sit well with her overprotective family. Gigi shows her strength and resilience as she isn’t about to let anything come between her and Pike and that includes his past and her family as she knows that they are meant to be together.

If that wasn’t enough to cause turmoil, tragedy strikes and Pike heads back to his hometown with Gigi and they don’t come back alone. As the danger around them escalates so do the feelings between them and Pike proves once again that there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do to protect the woman he loves.

Since Gigi and Pike have reunited, they have endured so much drama, danger and emotional upheavals but there is no doubting that as long as they have each other and those they love that they are unbeatable. The pacing of the narration was perfect as the narrators brought out all the suspense and emotion of the story.

I loved it

Burn is the second book in the Men of Inked: Heatwave series and the continuation of Gigi and Pike's story. This novel started right where the first book left off and was filled with family drama, action, twists & turns and sweet & sexy moments that will entertain you and have you hooked from beginning to end. I enjoyed the antics of the Gallo family and seeing Pike's inclusion into the family dynamics. This novel will evoke a range of emotions from you as it takes you on a wild ride and you will love every moment of it. I enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to all lovers of contemporary romance.
I listened to the audible version of this novel which was narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke. These two did a fantastic job with this story. They were able to give the different characters their own voice and infuse sufficient emotions into the narration. They had great pace and timing and really brought the story to life. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

I love this family!

I love this family! This book follows “Flame” and is also about GiGi and Pike. We get to meet some of Pikes family in this book. There are some scary and intense situations that made me cry a little. The dual narration is great and I can’t wait until “Wildfire”, the next book in this series is out. We will hear more about Tam’s antics in “Wildfire” I definitely recommend this series!

4 Stars

This picks up where Flame left off and goes to 60 in just a few seconds. It was really a fast paced, drama filled, suspenseful read, lighter on the steam than book 1, but all the action made up for it. There are a couple of characters in this I really wanna know their story..and a certain one I'd rather not. But all in all, I really enjoyed this a lot. I volunteered to listen and review a complimentary copy of this. All opinions are my own.

Great!

The conclusion to Gigi and Pike's story did not disappoint anyone who has been eagerly anticipating this book's release. All questions from the first book were answered, no loose ends were left untied. The chemistry between the characters continued to burn, steaming up the pages. Tears were shed especially when Pike received a letter from his mum and when Pike was taken hostage. This book had it all - laughs, tears and all the feels. The narration was fantastic really helping to bring the characters to life for the listener. My only criticism was the introduction of the character Tamara. She was annoying and childish and I really didn't like her at all.
