Summary
A pair as opposite as opposite can be!
After harrowing experiences in the Napoleonic Wars and suffering from what we would now recognise as PTSD, half-English, half-German Lukas is making a home for his mother and sister in the leafy green of England. At least, he is in the country while his sister and mother are in London, falling under the sway of Lady Beatrix, a frivolous socialite who appears to think of nothing but fun and pairing up other people, whether they like it or not.
It turns out she's not very good at match-making, and certainly not at finding her own match. Her thoughtlessness leads her into having accept an offer of marriage from the strict and disapproving Lukas. The world as she knows it seems about to fall apart.
But then there's Juno, Lukas' old hunting dog, who is very good at match-making. She unerringly points everyone in the right direction.
If you've listened to other Regencies by GL Robinson you will recognize the style: a charming story with a hint of seriousness at its core. If you haven't listened to her before, this is a good place to start!

Sweet and whimsical
Highly predictable but enjoyable tale of a headstrong heroine, a masterful hero and a matchmaking dog. I enjoy GL Robinson as an author but would have preferred a professional narrator.
