About this listen

One wrong does not justify another in the desolate landscapes of SENTA, the Bannau Brycheiniog army training grounds, DCI Warlow and his seasoned investigators find themselves ensnared in a deadly game of shadows.

A man, recently released from prison after a 20-year wrongful conviction, is discovered dead, igniting a storm of doubt and suspicion. As long-buried secrets claw their way to the surface, the line between truth and deception blurs. With everyone involved in the original case now a potential suspect, they must tread carefully and confront the crimes of old as well as the present.

As the stakes escalate, can Warlow decipher the puzzle of the past before the present claims another victim?

Edge of the seat crime fiction.

Oh that's mean -talk about leave the reader desperate for the next chapter.

I love this series not only because it's set nearby, but because I have been invested in the characters from the first book. It's tough when the book ends with one of the dearly loved characters heading into mortal danger and you have to wait for the next book to find out her fate. Excellent story as always. Can't wait for the next book.

Brilliant! ! !

I came across the first book in this series by chance but I was hooked from book one. I've now finished the latest but please god not the last book. I love the plots which have me guessing right up to the last. The characters that make up Warlow's team however are such relatable characters they make the storylines so believable. The Warlow is the glue holding it all together though and just hearing those dulcet tones alone you feel you are in safe hands quite apart from you wanting to swoon....LOL

Tobias Weatherburn's narration is perfect and, Rhys Dylan has created a detective up there with the best of them. I'm chomping at the bit for the next installment.

Another winner

And pretty good narration except for the odd pronunciation clanger, in English, not in Welsh.

Such an excellent series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love this series of books so much! Each case is intriguing and the interpersonal relationships between the main cast of characters are so well written. Each new Audible release is a must listen for me, and I eagerly await the next one.
Excellent, skilled narration by Tobias Weatherburn brings the whole world that Rhys Dylan has created to life so well. They really are a brilliant combination of writer and narrator. Long may this continue! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
