About this listen
The body of a prostitute is found at Glasgow's Queen Street Station, her hands, pointing towards her feet, placed as if in prayer, a small flower pressed between the palms. Psychologist Solomon Brightman is called to assist DCI Lorimer in the murder hunt, with the hope that his lateral thinking will shine a light on the case from a different angle. But before any conclusions can be drawn, the body of a nurse is discovered at The Grange, a private clinic.
Aside from the careful arrangement of the corpses, there is no obvious connection between the victims; Lorimer and Solomon are still very much in the dark. Then a third body turns up, and it seems increasingly clear that they have a serial killer on their hands.

I love this series of books
This book was very good, every bit as good as all the others in the series. The narration was excellent and it was very easy to listen to and the plot was interesting and credible and it was not easy to guess the ending. I have no hesitation in recommending this book to others.

So far have really enjoyed the 1st and 2nd book of this series looking forward to the next. Like the story line that runs through the book.

Better narration
The narration on book 2 seems more interesting than book one. Plot is also good.

Love this series
Absolutely love the DCI Lorimer Series. Alex Gray really brings Glasgow to life with words and it’s a joy to read. So glad I have tonnes of books left in the series to get through.

A Good listen
First one of his books I’ve read . Great to get an interesting and intricate murder-mystery
without swathes of unwanted bad language . There were some sexual tones but never
unnecessary or crude .
Enjoyed getting to know the characters and wanting to follow them on . Hope the content
stays as enjoyable .

A good story let down
Although this novel had a good plot the whole thing was let down by the narrator. At times his voice was so devoid of pace it was difficult to stay awake.

This is an old story not a newby
Still pretty good tho if a little out of sync. I wish audible would post a published date as well as the date older novels are added, would save buying and listening again!

A detailed narrative.
I loved this story, it had a good pace and plenty of detailed observations into the care industry as well as the police work.

Not a bad book. But not the best ever. Narrator a bit monotone bit dated
