Jody White was born in Wakefield, North Yorkshire, but grew up in the rural idyll of Bridgnorth, Shropshire.   An education in digital design took him east to Leicester, and later down to Brighton, East Sussex, where he spent over a decade forming strong friendships and absorbing the open-minded nature of alternative culture.   On the south coast he fostered interests in shamanism, yoga, herbalism, and foraging, alongside his day job as a graphic designer, with evenings often spent playing drums with various bands.  In 2017, then living in St. Leonards-on-Sea, he founded the Lumieres Podcast, a slowly weaving thread of conversational interviews with figures who shine their light brightly in the world. Currently on hiatus, the podcast will resume in due course.  He currently lives in the Herefordshire Marches, a few miles from the border town of Y-Gelli / Hay-on-Wye.  Chimera is his first book.
