Because of movies and books, bats are misunderstood by many people. Some think that all bats fly into your hair, carry rabies, and are blind bloodsuckers. In fact, bats are smart, gentle animals. They try to avoid humans, can see very well, and rarely carry rabies. Bats are extremely important to humans.

“Mama and Papa, I’m hungry!” says baby goat Gruff. Mama goat and Papa goat Gruff say, “Yes, we’re starving, too." Baby goat Gruff asks, “Can we cross over the bridge to greener pastures?” Mama Goat and Papa Goat Gruff answer, “Yes, but a troll lives by the bridge. We have to use our wits to cross over the bridge without being eaten by the troll.” How will the goats outwit the troll?
