Story
Who inherited the legacy of Rome? Since the fall of Rome in 476 CE, many have laid claim to the legacy of one of the world’s greatest empires. The Byzantine Emperors called their capital "New Rome". The Ottoman Sultans proclaimed themselves the "Caesars of Rome". The Russian Czars declared their capital Moscow as the “Third Rome”. And the Founding Fathers of America constructed a new nation they saw as the inheritance of Rome. This podcast aims to connect the strength and legacy of Rome to the powers and thrones of our modern world. New episodes bi-weekly.
