Mikhail came here from a world where not just force, but also a man's word, meant something. But here in his new home, it was different. I used to be the greatest Earth Mage in my world. The head of the entire Order of Architects. But the older you get, the more you come to realize that at some point, you need to retire, so that you can have the chance to enjoy a peaceful life and to cede your place to the young, some of whom have already turned two thousand years old . . .So that's what I did. But I failed to account for one thing: during the course of my long life, I'd accumulated too many enemies, and they had decided to spoil my retirement. So they died along with me. And I hope their deaths were final. But mine was not!

They seized my castle, took my lands, and now, I'm surrounded by enemies. Moreover, it's nothing but one headache after another with the authorities. And even though I wrested my castle back, the neighbors aren't going anywhere, and they live and breathe to tear off chunks of my land, and eliminate me, the new head of the family.

Mikhail's power had only grown with every new day, and his Family was also flourishing. However, so were their enemies. New ones had emerged, and old ones who'd long ago written them off were now stirring. But really, was this a problem? He was a healer, and there was always a remedy, and mandatory "treatment" could not be stopped! Indeed, his enemies would pay handsomely for it. At least, whatever remained of them.

Varg has been granted his chance at a new life, but will he be up to it? Can he cope with the pressure of that chance? New enemies, friends, and problems will be along soon. It remains only for Varg to figure out who he fears most: his enemies, or his friends.

Oder die Welt der Elfen, in der Varg einen kostbaren Preis erhält. Und dann erscheinen auch noch Nekromanten in unserer Welt.

Michails Macht wuchs mit jedem Tag, und sein Adelshaus war wieder aufgeblüht. Allerdings ging es ihren Feinden ebenso gut. Es waren neue auf den Plan getreten, und die alten, die sie schon lange abgeschrieben hatten, meldeten sich zurück. Aber war das wirklich ein Problem? Er war doch ein Heiler, und ein Heilmittel gab es immer. Und die von ihm verordneten "Behandlungen" ließen sich nicht aufhalten! Oh ja, seine Feinde würden teuer dafür bezahlen.

In meiner Welt war ich der größte Erdmagier. Das Oberhaupt des gesamten Ordens der Baumeister. Aber mit zunehmendem Alter wird einem immer klarer, dass es einen Zeitpunkt gibt, an dem man sich zurückziehen muss, um sich eines ruhigeren Lebens zu erfreuen und Jüngeren das Feld zu überlassen, von denen einige allerdings auch schon an die zweitausend Lenze zählen... Genau das habe ich getan. Ich hatte mehr als genug. Nur eines hatte ich nicht bedacht: in meinem langen Leben habe ich mir zu viele Feinde gemacht, die nur darauf gewartet haben, mir den Ruhestand zu vermiesen. Okay, sie sind mit mir gestorben. Ich hoffe bloß - endgültig.

Varg hat bereits mehr als genug Bewährungsproben bestanden, um sich zu Recht als erfahrener Zombie-Überlebender zu betrachten, aber wird das ausreichen? Das Schicksal schläft nicht, genauso wenig wie das System. Wahrscheinlich haben diese beiden launischen Weichensteller sich verbündet. In den neuen Welten warten weitere Prüfungen auf ihn. Wird er dort einen neuen Freund treffen? Oder gar uralte Vampire? Oder erwartet ihn ein mysteriöses Mädchen, dem er in einer Notlage hilft? Vielleicht wird all das und noch viel mehr geschehen. Wer weiß das schon? Das System weiß es, und es lockt Varg mit immer neuen Aufgaben.

Manch einer wünscht sich die Chance, das eigene Leben zu verändern, aber man sollte vorsichtig sein, was man sich wünscht. Das System bietet diese Möglichkeit... Schade nur, dass die Überlebenschancen begrenzt sind. Varg hat die Chance auf ein neues Leben erhalten, aber kann er den Widrigkeiten dieses neuen Lebens standhalten? Neue Feinde, neue Freunde und neue Probleme lassen nicht lange auf sich warten. Die Frage ist nur, wen Varg mehr fürchten sollte – Feinde oder Freunde. Was könnte einfacher sein? An meinem allerersten Tag in dieser Welt bin ich zum Grafen aufgestiegen, mit allem Pipapo: einem Schloss, einem Namen, Ländereien und Macht. Man könnte meinen, ich hätte es geschafft, aber nein... Mein Schloss wurde erobert, meine Ländereien wurden mir genommen, und jetzt bin ich von Feinden umgeben. Außerdem machen mir die Behörden ununterbrochen Kopfschmerzen. Und auch wenn ich mein Schloss zurückerobert habe – da sind immer noch die Nachbarn, die nichts anderes im Sinn zu haben scheinen, als Teile meines Landes abzuspalten und mich, das neue Oberhaupt der Familie, zu beseitigen.
