A man is found murdered in his Reykjavik flat. There are no obvious clues apart from a cryptic note left on the body and a photograph of a young girl's grave. Pourquoi ce teinturier sans histoire, père célibataire, a-t-il disparu un soir en laissant son fils sans famille et sans protection ? Comment ce conducteur habile a-t-il pu s’engager sur ce glacier et disparaître ? N’y a-t-il personne pour trouver cela bizarre à l’exception de Konrad ? Un roman très noir dans lequel Konrad nous révèle l’existence des réseaux d’espionnage russes en Islande dans les années 60 et la façon dont les militants de gauche se sont trouvés enlevés ou tués au nom de la révolution soviétique. Haletant et troublant. Un très bon Indridason.

Las noches de Reikiavik ocultan más miserias de las que se ven a simple vista. En una vivienda céntrica de la capital islandesa han encontrado el cadáver de un hombre joven en medio de un enorme charco de sangre. A pesar de lo espectacular de la escena del crimen, no parece haber signos de violencia en el apartamento. Tan solo hay dos cosas fuera de lugar: un chal de mujer en la cama y unas pastillas propiedad del fallecido.
