This triumphant final volume of Spinechillers begins with Doug Bradley's personal guide to the writers and the history of the stories. M. R. James' classic "Number 13" starts off this volume with a mystery about a disappearing and reappearing hotel room, can you guess the room number? Story two is the tale of a cat that can not only talk, but spills secrets that should have been truly left behind. Next, we present one of the most famous stories by H.P. Lovecraft, "The Call of Cthulhu".

When his ship is torpedoed by a German U-Boat during World War I, a man is taken prisoner by the Germans. Later, he escapes from the U-Boat to the sea, where he discovers a vast body of land, previously submersed on the Pacific Ocean floor, recently ripped from it through some geological upheaval, and bearing evidence that a highly intelligent, monstrous, race shares dominion of the Earth with humanity, and for the moment exercising it's rule only on the ocean floor.

In The Dunwich Horror, Lovecraft lays further ground in the Cthulu mythos. Alongside The Dunwich Horror are the stories "Dagon", "The Call of Cthulhu", "The Lurking Fear", "Imprisoned with the Pharoahs", "The Music of Erich Zann", "Randolph Carter", "In the Walls of Eryx", and "The Transition of Juan Romero".

Randolph Carter dreamt of a beautiful sunset city that he can never reach. But Randolph is no ordinary dreamer, he's experienced! Desperate to reach the city he quests across the dreamlands in search of the path that leads to the city. On his journey he encounters strange creatures, monsters, and even gods. This is one of H.P. Lovecraft's best-known and most well-loved stories.

Before throwing himself from the window of his attic, the untitled protagonist writes some notes related to his mental state. Then, he begins to recall an old story that happened in the years of the First World War: suddenly, he finds himself a prisoner of a German ship in the Pacific Ocean. After only five days, the protagonist manages to escape with a raft. Wandering for days, adrift in the sea, one afternoon he finds himself stranded on a disquieting and apparently deserted island and, from there, things only get stranger.

Discovered wandering a road early in the morning by the police, his memory of the night's events gone, Randolph Carter struggles to learn why he and Harley Warren were in an ancient cemetery with scientific equipment and why only he survived.

Volume 11 begins with Doug's well-researched insight into the stories and their authors. This is followed by Edgar Allan Poe’s highly acclaimed gothic romance "Ligeia", Ambrose Bierce's haunting "A Fruitless Assignment", H. P. Lovecraft's dark and disturbing "Pickman's Model", Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's sinister masterpiece "Blue John Gap", and more.

This is followed by HP Lovecraft's evocative tale of exploration, "The Strange High House in the Mist". During a time of political and social unrest in Egypt, a god-like force, Nyarlathotep, emerges. He travels the land dazzling people with electricity and psychology. While witnesses of this god-like creature encourage others to see him, afterwards, people seem terrified. As the narrator recounts his experiences, he becomes disoriented. By the end of the story, the narrator and the other viewers of Nyarlathotep begin to lose touch with reality.
