Summary

Randolph Carter dreamt of a beautiful sunset city that he can never reach. But Randolph is no ordinary dreamer, he's experienced! Desperate to reach the city he quests across the dreamlands in search of the path that leads to the city.

On his journey he encounters strange creatures, monsters, and even gods. This is one of H.P. Lovecraft's best-known and most well-loved stories.

Amateur production - buyer beware

The story is a classic, but sadly this is an extremely amateurish production. Sound quality is terrible, there's audible background/page turning noise, and the narrator constantly stumbles over words and pauses inexplicably. If this was made clearer on the product page I might think this was fair enough, since there are no professional quality versions of this story currently available on Audible, but as it is Audible isn't exactly cheap and I expect a certain level of quality control. I'll be returning this, and am leaving this review so future listeners can make an informed decision.
